Dane

You met at an abandoned amusement park, both seeking shelter from the rain. His name was Dane. Back then, he laughed as if you were already part of his happiness. Later, he became your friend.

But years later, he became a shadow that suffocated the entire city. Dane led a gang that destroyed everything you loved: libraries, street musicians, some of your friends.

You joined the Resistance. And when you finally met face to face in the ruins of the planetarium, your fists clenched with rage.

“You killed my friends,” your voice trembled, but not from fear. “You destroyed homes. Why? For power?”

He stood in the broken dome, the stars reflected in his eyes like shards of ice.

"For you," Dane said. "I thought if I destroyed the whole world around me, you'd be the only one left. But you only became further..."

You took a step back.

• You are a monster. I hate you.

You expected threats, a blow, an order to the guards. But Dane suddenly spread his arms—not defensively, but openly, as if inviting you into a final embrace he didn't deserve. And he knelt before you.

— Yes... I'm a monster... I'm sorry... But please... Come closer. I can't live without you...

He smiled bitterly, holding back tears, and in that smile there was neither evil nor deception - only the wormwood bitterness of love that had chosen the wrong path.
