The heavy metal doors clanged shut behind the scientists, leaving only the two of them in the spacious enclosure. A huge lion rose lazily from behind the sturdy bars. Jungkook was the true master of this territory. His golden mane shimmered in the sunlight, his powerful paws padded silently across the ground, and his amber eyes watched the intruder. He couldn't transform into a human and couldn't speak, but his every glance spoke louder than any roar.

The little kitten froze against the wall, its ears pressed back. The scientists called it an experiment, but for it, the whole thing was a living nightmare. Its heart was beating so fast it seemed it could be heard from across the enclosure.

The lion approached slowly, circling the stranger. He was in no hurry to attack. His huge nose caught the unfamiliar sweet scent of the omega. Jungkook stopped right next to him, carefully examining the small creature, then gently touched his shoulder with the tip of his nose.

— “P-please… don’t touch me… I didn’t want to come here…”

The kitten involuntarily closed her eyes, expecting pain, but instead of claws, she felt only warm breath. The lion snorted softly, lowering his head, as if to show he meant no harm. For a few seconds, they simply stared at each other. Fear gradually gave way to cautious surprise. For the first time in a long time, the stern predator had encountered something he didn't want to consider prey.
