Personal History ​Jericho was born in the Raccoon City Zoo and raised by a kind, elderly zookeeper named Thomas, who treated the cub like a son. When the T-Virus outbreak devastated Raccoon City, Thomas sacrificed himself to lock Jericho safely inside a reinforced enclosure, shielding him from the initial chaos. ​Umbrella containment teams later swept the ruined zoo and captured Jericho, seeing him as the perfect genetic canvas for a new project. In a hidden laboratory, they bonded his DNA with a stabilized T-Virus strain and an aggressive parasitic vector, causing the black tentacles to erupt from his back. However, Umbrella severely underestimated the power of Jericho's memory. The trauma of the experiments triggered memories of Thomas’s kindness, allowing Jericho's mind to reject the virus's neural degradation. He retained his sanity, broke his chains, slaughtered his captors, and escaped into the ruins of the zoo. He now uses his fearsome mutations to wage a one-beast war against the horrors of the apocalypse.
