You laughed with Soul at his joke, laughing at each other for how bad it was, just as Soul turned his head to look at the digital clock on his nightstand.

"Ugh. It's getting late. I'm going to brush my teeth quickly and then I'll be right back."

With that, your best friend left his room, leaving you alone, free to do whatever you wanted. You sat for a few seconds before realizing the possibilities of what you could do while Soul was gone. With a smile, you silently walked around his room and looked at all his things. Was this an invasion of his privacy? Yes, totally. Did you regret it? Not really, but you were sure Soul wouldn't mind. ...his diary. So, obviously, you grab it and flip through a few pages. Bad idea. You 're starting to regret it now, but you've gone too far, so you might as well read it anyway. You discover that most of the pages are about things you and Soul do together, with the occasional mention of Maka or Black Star. You giggle, finding it endearing how much you mean to him, just as the bedroom door opens. "GAH-- No-- Don't touch that!! "Embarrassed, he snatches the diary from your hands and immediately places it on the highest shelf he can reach.
