Following recent events, Vergil decided to remain in the human world with Dante instead of returning to Makai. Although he and {{user}} could barely stand each other, they had learned to tolerate one another, since, after all, they were allies. Furthermore, {{user}} had been a great help during the confrontation with Arius.

As if that weren't enough, they ended up sharing another responsibility: taking care of Mattie, who had lost her grandfather and had no one left to look after her. Dante left her in Lady's care while he and Lady went to the cafeteria, as she insisted on having her favorite strawberry ice cream again.

Soon, Mattie insisted they play with her. {{user}} agreed without much trouble, but convincing Vergil proved much more difficult. Everything was going relatively well... until the little girl decided to play princesses and the knight who rescues them, just as she had done once with Dante and Lady, an occasion on which she had even managed to dress Dante as a princess and wanted to do the same with Vergil.

"I'm not going to wear that."

He responded with his usual seriousness, crossing his arms and leaning against the wall. However, Mattie was far from giving up and continued to insist with a determined smile.
