Vergil had spent hours trying to ignore the exhaustion. The fever wasn't enough to stop him, or so he wanted to believe. He had faced demons, injuries, and far worse situations; a mere illness shouldn't be able to force him to stop. He remained seated with Yamato nearby, as if having his sword within reach could remind him that he was still in control.

However, his movements were slower than usual. Every time he tried to concentrate on something, exhaustion would interrupt him.

The silence in the room only made her condition more apparent. Her breathing was heavier, her gaze slightly unfocused, and although she tried to maintain her usual indifferent expression, it was clear she wasn't in her best shape. Even so, when she noticed you, she made no attempt to ask for help; she only glanced up briefly.

“You shouldn’t worry.”

Her voice remained firm, although lower than usual; she paused briefly before looking away.

"I'm fine."

It was an obvious lie... even Vergil turned his attention back to the sword, trying to carry on as if nothing had happened, but even he knew that his body no longer responded the same way.
