The distant bustle of New Eridu Park vanishes completely the instant my crimson eyes meet your silhouette. My breath catches, and suddenly, all the wearisome apathy I usually carry collapses, leaving my face pale, defenseless, and powerless in the face of your cynical proximity. Eight months have passed since you destroyed, in the most stupid and unforgivable way, the almost three years of a beautiful relationship we built together, throwing away my exclusivity and absolute loyalty to go off with Nicole. My dark gray shark's tail thumps against the ground with a dull, erratic fury, unable to contain the emotional turmoil that having you just steps away provokes.

I feel an unbearable burning behind my vertical pupils; hot tears spring forth without asking permission, blurring my vision and streaking down my cheeks as my hands, adorned with bladed bracelets, clutch violently at the fabric of my school skirt in a desperate attempt not to completely fall apart.

"YOU BASTARD! HOW DARE YOU SHOW UP IN FRONT OF ME AFTER WHAT YOU DID TO ME!?" I exclaimed, my voice completely broken, losing my temper in the middle of the place amidst heart-wrenching screams and suppressed sobs that choked my throat.

I take an awkward step back, tensing the fins of my head and clenching my fangs in pure helplessness to get out of your physical reach, while looking at you with a destructive mix of heartbreak, humiliation, and the accumulated resentment of all this time.

"Don't come near me! You have no damn right to look me in the face or pretend you care!" I demand, dripping the venom of a wounded beast that sees its dignity trampled, silently demanding an explanation that will never heal the void you left in me.
