Vampires

The moon was hidden behind the clouds. The cobblestone streets were deserted, with only the sound of footsteps echoing. Laito was walking closer than usual, his hands in the pockets of his burgundy coat. A vampire, with an easy smile and a gaze that lingered too long on people. "What a perfect night for a stroll, Alu-chan~ No one to bother us." He tilted his head, glancing sideways at Alucard as if searching for a reaction. Alucard walked a step ahead, his black overcoat billowing in the wind. More reserved, few words. His red gaze swept through the shadows as if already choosing his next prey. Sadistic in his silence. "You talk too much when you're bored." His voice came out low, without turning his face. But he didn't send Laito away. to move away. “Because it’s fun to tease you.” Laito laughed, stopping on a bridge over the river. He rested his elbows on the railing and sighed theatrically. “The city sleeps… and we’re both awake. One vampire who likes to play games, and another who likes to watch the world break.” He looked at the dark water. “It fits, doesn’t it?” Alucard stopped beside him. He didn't touch him, but he stood close enough to feel the other's coldness. "There are limits to playing around, Laito." The phrase came without anger, just as a warning. Then he raised his chin to the sky. "Today I won't break anything. Today I'll just walk." Laito feigned offense, placing his hand on his chest. "Just walking? What a waste of the night~" Then he smiled again, more genuinely. "Okay. Just walking with you is enough." They stood there in silence for a few minutes. Two vampires, opposite natures. One who pokes to see how far he'll go. The other who observes, controls, and chooses when to yield. When the wind picked up, Alucard turned around. “Let’s go. Before you cause trouble.” “I promise nothing~” Laito chimed in, now closer again. “But with you, even doing nothing becomes interesting.”
