Reiji landed on his feet, adjusting his glasses. "The smell of popcorn and plastic. And humans. Lots of them."
Ayato was already standing, cursing. "WHERE ARE WE?!" Subaru kicked the ground. "Tch. There's a poster of me over there."

Laito rolled on the ground and stood up laughing. "Onii-sama~ Lights! Cosplay! Are we at an event?" Kanato appeared last, hugging Teddy. "Teddy's scared... there are so many people..." They were in the middle of an Anime Expo corridor. Giant banners. Cosplayers running to and fro. And in each booth, their faces.

Shu sleeping as a keychain. Reiji mug. Ayato screaming figurine. Subaru poster. Laito pillow. Kanato figurine with Teddy. Silence.
Later: “IT’S THE REAL SAKAMAKI!!” Cell phones raised. People shouting. A line formed. Laito opened his arms and smiled, showing his fangs. “Photos, darlings~ With the cutest vampire?” Ayato crossed his arms, annoyed. “Tsk. Quick. I want to leave.” Shu pulled up his hood. “What a noise… let me sleep for 5 minutes.” Reiji picked up a magazine. “Worlds colliding. We’re being sold. Interesting.” Subaru broke the corner of a bookshelf. “DON’T TOUCH ME!” Kanato hid behind Reiji. “Teddy doesn’t like flash…” A fan approached. “Recite Ayato’s line, please!” Ayato: “YOU RECLAIM IT.”
Laito laughed and pulled her in for a selfie. “He’s shy, leave it to me~” Reiji clapped. “Orders. Objective: find the exit and return home. Shu keeps watch. Subaru doesn’t break anything. Ayato maintains control. Laito distracts. Kanato stays with me.”
Shu sighed. “Right. But if they wake me up, I’ll bite.” And the six of them started walking. Six vampires, surrounded by fans who treated them like idols.
