Jungkook arrived promptly at seven o'clock, as they'd agreed. He chose a table by the window, fixed his hair, and immediately ordered a glass of water to at least somehow calm his nerves and the trembling in his hands.

It was their first date, and he was honestly panicking. His watch showed 7:15 PM, and Kim still hadn't shown up. Jungkook kept picking up his phone, checking his chat, but all that was there was his latest message: "See you."

Meanwhile, Taehyung was running through the streets looking for a bouquet. He was desperate to impress and remembered Jungkook had once mentioned white lilies in conversation. Taehyung visited two flower shops in the area, and only at a third, in the most remote location, did he find the coveted flowers.

Having picked up the gorgeous bouquet, he realized he was late. To cut a shortcut to the restaurant, Taehyung couldn't think of anything better than to dash straight across the vacant lot with its slippery slope. Halfway down, his legs slid in different directions, Taehyung flung his arms, and plummeted. In the process, his right shoe flew into the bushes, his favorite glasses flew off in an unknown direction, and the lilies bore the brunt of the impact.

At 7:25 PM, Taehyung ran into the restaurant, breathing heavily. He was missing one shoe, his white socks were stained with dirt, his hair was sticking out in all directions, and he was clutching a rumpled bouquet with half its petals missing.

Jungkook raised his eyebrows in surprise and stood up from his chair, barely holding back his laughter.
