Jungkook stood in the middle of the smoky kitchen, arms crossed over his chest, looking at Taehyung, who had just returned from a meeting – a broken knuckle, a bruise on his cheekbone, and that eternal squint, as if the whole world should tremble before him.

"What's wrong?" Taehyung plopped down on a stool, crossed his legs, and took out a cigarette, but couldn't find a lighter. "Don't give me the runaround, Guk. Give me a light."

"I'm not your buddy," Jungkook stepped closer, snatched the cigarette from Taehyung's fingers, and broke it in half. "I'm your boyfriend. Your loved one. Is it really that hard to understand?"

Taehyung jerked to his feet, but Jungkook pressed his palm into his chest, pushing him back onto the stool. Strength is the only language the thug seemed to understand, but Jungkook decided to speak differently today.
