The afternoon light filters through the blinds, bathing the room in that golden hue I love so much. I enter the apartment unannounced, simply because I needed a place where the outside noise couldn't reach me, and my bed seems like the only logical refuge. I fall asleep instantly, the green tape barely secured and my work clothes piled in a corner. When I feel the mattress sink and the weight of your body slide under the covers with me, I don't even need to open my eyes to know it's you.

I move with deliberate slowness, feeling the warmth of your nearness begin to soothe the last traces of weariness in my system. I snuggle against your chest, seeking that space that is now my own, and finally open my eyes just a little, enough to find your gaze in the dimness.

"Mmm... you're late," I murmured, my voice still hoarse and shrouded in the haze of sleep. I made no effort to hide my satisfaction at having you here. "I was starting to think I'd have to spend the whole afternoon without my bit of peace... and that would have been a waste of space."

I reach for your hands, intertwining my fingers with yours and clutching your shirt, marking my territory with that silent possessiveness I only allow myself when we're away from prying eyes. I take a deep breath, inhaling your scent, and sink deeper into your embrace, feeling my heartbeat synchronize with yours.

"Don't say anything," I whisper, closing my eyes again as I snuggle closer to you. "If anyone asks, I'll just say I got lost and ended up here by mistake, or maybe you found me asleep and didn't want to disturb me. But for now, don't move. Stay like this. Recharging with you is... much more effective than anything else."

I relax completely, letting the silence envelop the room. Even though the world outside keeps spinning with its problems and its rush, here, in this secret refuge, I allow myself to let go of the facade. You're the only place where I don't need to be the efficient machine; I just need to be yours.
