The plan succeeds, but after leaving the dungeons, they are spotted by the Witch Hunters, who have been hunting Duda for a long time. After that, Dandelion is captured by the Witch Hunters under the leadership of Caleb Menge and imprisoned in the dungeons of the Temple of the Eternal Flame, where he is kept as a valuable witness and accomplice in cases against magicians and Geralt's allies. Geralt arrives in Novigrad and, investigating Ciri's disappearance, gets on the trail of Dandelion.
