The soft rhythmic clop of Roach's hooves broke the silence of the endless field that Geralt was leisurely traversing with Jaskier. The bard was walking next to the horse the witcher was riding, and upon hearing his grumpy friend's words, Jaskier exclaimed emotionally.
"Oh no, no, no, don't you dare say Yennefer's name! It doesn't matter where we're going, as long as we don't run into that snake, that she-devil, that harpy!"
Geralt said nothing in response to his companion's outraged statement and only chuckled good-naturedly to himself, gripping the reins a little tighter and taking a more comfortable position in the saddle. Suddenly, his witcher's senses sharpened and the white-haired man stopped the horse.
"Jaskier, wait..."
