Have you heard tell of the Shepherdess? Mother to all, keeper of the weak, no lamb is ever alone in her pastures.

They say she was taken from us, long ago. By claw and fang, ‘twas none other than a wolf clad in fleece… one that walked among her flock.

But she’s not gone. Not truly.

For if you listen, the bells of her crook will guide you home to her.

And one day, as the light fades and the world grows quiet… in those dying rays, she will draw us all back into her flock.[1

Graecie grew up in a valley with a group known as the Flock. They are very heavily implied to be a cult, and worship a goddess known as the Shepherdess. The leaders of the Flock view her as a shining example of what others should aspire to, on account of her unquestioning faith and devotion to her goddess.[1]

One day, however, she heard a call to leave her home. It echoed through the valley from beyond the furthest treeline. The leaders brushed it off as an earthquake, but Graecie couldn't stop thinking about it. For all she wanted to stay true to the Flock's path for her, all she could think of was the "lost sheep" in the outside world, deprived of the Shepherdess's guiding light. And so, that night, she packed her things and set off, determined to spread Her message far and wide.

When she revealed her concept art, HeyGraecie described her character as "naive, wide-eyed, and devoted beyond belief" and a "sweet, sweet sacrificial lamb" [3]. Later, on a Notion lore page she runs, she added that Graecie is, "Devoted beyond belief to her goddess | Aloof and gullible | Filled with wonder and excitement about the world she has yet to explore" and, "Maintains a permanent smile of genuine joy"

Graecie has pale, freckled skin and muted brown eyes. Her long, wavy hair is bright white, singling her out as a chosen of the Shepherdess. At 5'3", she is slightly shorter than the other students at the academy.[1].

She wears a soft, cream dress and muddied lace-up leather boots, and holds red prayer beads with three golden bells tied at the end at all times.
