Drift

Despite their characters never being portrayed as more then close friends, the ship between the characters of Drift and Shelby became very popular. The content creators themselves ship it and it is often referenced by them when they play as a group. Drift's blood tastes a bit like balsamic vinegar, but a bit spicy as well.

Owen was antagonistic towards Avid, and by extension Drift, due to the formers accusations of vampires in Oakhurst. Owen would often scare the pair by appearing seemingly out of nowhere. When she became a vampire, Drift was tentatively allied with Owen, although she grew closer with others. However, she was infuriated after discovering his involvement in Avid's murder.

Abolish and Drift joined together in their support of Avid in the towns scepticism to his belief in the supernatural. The trio would often covertly meet up to share theories and plan on what to do about the possible vampiric presence in Oakhurst. They made a pact to keep each other and the town safe no matter what during this time.

However, when Drift became a vampire, their relationship quickly soured as she sided with them. Drift became intimidated by Abolish, fleeing from him, whilst he was frustrated by her. She told the other vampires about her worries about him.

Scott turned Drift into a vampire by accident when the humans attacked the vampires while desecrating a beacon. He was surprised when she turned to the vampires side. Drift was distraught by Scott turning her, and even more so with his lack of remorse and seeming abandoning of her moments after the turning. However, the pair grew close after Drift officially joined the vampires. They, alongside Shelby, decided to stay together after leaving Oakhurst. In 2006, Drift lives nearby Scott and Shelby and remains in close contact with them.

Drift was the first person Shelby ran into in Oakhurst. They formed a strong friendship at the start, and Drift confirmed that she trusted them and felt most relaxed in a long time when they went on an adventuring trip with herself, Shelby, Cleo, and Pearl in episode two. Despite disagreeing on the existence of the supernatural they still discussed it, and Shelby told her that the stories portraying them as aggressive beings were probably out of prejudice, with which Drift seemed to agree, if they were to be real, but worried about Shelby's safety in her plans to get the other side of the stories by personally meeting with the creatures to prove their nature.

When Shelby was exposed as a vampire, Drift consistently reassured her and insisted they were still friends. When Drift herself was turned, Shelby helped her accept herself despite Drift's resentment towards Scott, leading to Drift siding with the vampires. After Avid's death, Drift consoled a guilt ridden Shelby, and the pair became each others close confidant. Drift supported Shelby's murder of Pyro in revenge for Avid. The pair promised to look after Scott after Oakhurst, and the trio all left Oakhurst together. In 2006, although Drift did not live with Scott and Shelby, all three remained in close contact.

Drift is Avid's roommate in the house they made together, and acts as his voice of reason. Whilst she, like most of the town, thought Avid's belief in the supernatural was unfounded, she did not treat him as delusional like everyone else and agreed to help him. However, when Owen manipulated the town into exiling Avid, she said nothing. Drift felt immensely guilty about this and apologized consistently to Avid, believing him immediately when he told her that Pyro and Scott turned into bats. The pair worked together to figure out the vampires, ultimately joining with Martyn and Cleo to expose the group.

When Drift turned into a vampire, she kept a close relationship with Avid, even when he pretended to not also be a vampire. They were so inseparable that other vampires were annoyed as their turning, believing it created a powerful duo. When Avid accepted himself and also joined the vampires, they remained close, and Drift was distraught and furious after Pyro murdered him. She referred to Avid as her 'best friend' and blamed herself for not protecting him or realizing what Pyro and Owen were planning. When Pyro himself was murdered to avenge him, Drift justified it with the same excuse Pyro gave for Avid's death. Drift, Shelby, and Scott would visit Avid's grave every year for eternity.

Drift was a detective who wanted to solve the mystery of Oakhurst. She traveled there to put the case to rest and find out the truth.[3] It is later revealed that she fled the city after abandoning the case she had been trying to crack, after being threatened by the suspect with an orchid left at her doorstep, which was one of the things found at the murder scene.[4]

Drift considers herself a realist but tries to look on the bright side of things.[2] Drift also is considered weak and scared by many of her peers, and after becoming a vampire expressed relief that she no longer needed to be scared.

Drift has short mid-neck length sandy brown hair and hazel eyes. She wears a brown coat over her white shirt, black vest, and tan trousers held up with a brown belt. She has a monocle with a golden chain and a red bow tie.
