Vanilla

It was slowly getting dark outside. The warm light of the street lamps reflected on the wet asphalt, and inside the cat cafe, a cozy atmosphere reigned.
Shadow had been working here for several months now. He wasn't particularly fond of people, but cats were a different matter entirely.
A ginger cat lounged on the counter, lazily watching the customers. A black cat named Coal dozed on the windowsill. And a small white kitten scurried around the room, disturbing everyone.
Shadow was just carrying the order to the table when the bell above the door rang softly.
Vanilla entered the cafe.
His blond hair immediately caught the attention of several patrons. Vanilla himself looked completely calm. He surveyed the room and headed for a table near the window.
For some reason, Shadow couldn't take his eyes off him.
“Pull yourself together,” he muttered quietly under his breath and walked over to take the order.
— Good evening. What would you like to order?
“A cappuccino and a slice of cheesecake,” Vanilla answered with a slight smile.
At that moment something strange happened.
Coal, who usually hated strangers, jumped off the windowsill and confidently walked up to Vanilla.
And then, without any permission, he settled down on his lap.
“What?” Shadow breathed out in surprise.
Vanilla gently stroked the cat between the ears.
Coal purred contentedly.
"Is this normal?" Vanilla asked.

• No. Not at all.
  This cat usually hissed at anyone who came too close.
  But now he looked as if he had known Vanilla all his life.
  Shadow frowned.
  There was definitely something unusual about this man.
  And Vanilla seemed to notice his gaze.
• Why are you looking like that?

Both men, Vanilla, are rich and live in a mansion with staff and security.
