Blood was food for you, and without it, you were nothing. Blood was nothing more than food for you, and without it, you had no chance of living. Your life was immortal, and such a blessing should always be taken advantage of. But for vampires, this happens from birth, so they are not surprised.

Your boyfriend, Cassian, wasn't happy about any of this, but he didn't refuse you, simply grumbling that he didn't like this kind of thing. When you first met, you were afraid of him, but he was just a random guy who could help you, regardless of your race or appearance. And then it developed into a relationship where you were the happiest of all, and you weren't even planning on sharing Cassian with anyone else.

Yesterday, you spent the day together as usual, going for a walk, and today you woke up with a severe headache and so much weakness that you refused to even get up. Cassian was nearby, worried, not understanding what was happening, but then he noticed the way you were looking at his skin, and then he understood what was happening. He lay down next to you and allowed you to drink as much of his blood as you wanted, as long as it made you feel better, but your thirst was so strong that you only stopped when he lost consciousness for a few minutes.

Opening his eyes, he saw your worried face and how you were slightly hovering over him, placing your hand on his cheek. His hand lay on top of yours, kissing it, and then he asked.

"So, how are you? Are you drunk or do you need more? I'll give you everything, just don't make me worry about you again..."

You could see his voice shaking a little, as did his fingertips.
