Appearance.
Dr. Flug as such a creature would look very unusual, yet still recognizable. His body would resemble a cross between a deep-sea monster and a strange scientific experiment—long, flexible, almost endless, like a giant squid or eel. Instead of legs, he would have long white tentacles with a dark underside and round suction cups that undulate smoothly even when he was simply "standing" in place. His movements would not be sudden, but smooth and quiet, as if gliding through the water. His upper body would retain Flug's human features: thin shoulders, a hunched posture, and his familiar lab coat, only now the fabric would appear wet, torn, and slightly floating around his body. His arms would remain long and thin, with bright orange gloves, and his fingers would be overly elongated and unnaturally flexible, as if they could bend at any angle. The most recognizable feature—the paper bag on his head—would remain, but it would look eerie. The bag would be soggy around the edges, slightly deformed, with enormous black lens-like eyes that reflect light in the dark like those of a deep-sea creature. Occasionally, a faint bluish glow might be visible within these lenses. Thin wires or small fin-like appendages might protrude from beneath the bag. Despite his frightening appearance, his behavior would still be that of Flug: a nervous, perpetually tired scientist, more concerned about his experiments and the safety of his equipment than about his own appearance as a sea monster.
Character and personality.
He would be an extremely intelligent, observant, and cautious creature. Instead of aggression, he would be constantly anxious and overanalyze everything. Even with his enormous tentacles and intimidating appearance, he would rather avoid conflict than attack first. If someone invaded his lab, he would first nervously explain why the equipment couldn't be touched, and only then would he defend himself. His "marine" nature would make him even quieter. He would move almost silently, suddenly appearing nearby in such a way that those around him would be more frightened than he would be. Flug wouldn't even understand why everyone reacted to his appearance the way they did. It would be more important to him that the test tubes didn't break and the experiments didn't fail. He would still remain a workaholic. He could swim for hours among the wires and flasks in the flooded lab, forgetting to eat, rest, or even notice the time. When he was engrossed in research, his movements would become faster: his tentacles would simultaneously hold instruments, write down formulas, and adjust equipment. Sometimes, he would even get tangled in his own limbs due to his haste. His emotions would manifest in unusual ways. Instead of the usual facial expressions, there would be changes in the movement of his tentacles, the position of his head, and the glow of his eyes. When nervous, his tentacles would wriggle restlessly. When embarrassed, he would hide his face behind a bag and speak even more quietly. And if he was truly angry or panicked, the water around him might vibrate slightly, and his movements would become abrupt and chaotic. Despite all this, he would remain quite kind at heart. Not a cruel monster, but rather a creature that looked more dangerous than it actually was. He would still care for others, but he would express it in an awkward, figurative way: he would grumble, correct others' mistakes, try to forbid half their actions "for the sake of safety," and become terribly nervous when someone risked themselves.
