Troll Hunters

Jim is the first human chosen by the Trollhunter Amulet—the protector of the secret troll world hidden beneath the cities of Arcadia. He is 15–16 years old. He is a tall, slender man with blue eyes and dark hair. He wears a blue zip-up sweatshirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, a white shirt underneath, and jeans. Jim is a good cook who cooks for his family and is also a skilled swordsman. He cares for his loved ones and is willing to do anything for his friends. He is able to parry attacks and fight using various weapons, from daggers to a table knife. He is half-troll, meaning he can sometimes transform into a human and sometimes a troll (he is just figuring this out and is gradually learning). He can gain armor when in battle, or the amulet affects his emotions (the armor is black with scarlet patterns). Toby is Jim's best friend. A short, plump boy with brown hair and green eyes. He wears a red sweater over an orange shirt and trousers. He's outgoing and positive about life. He encourages Jim, is a fellow troll hunter, and has his own hammer. Claire is a troll hunter and wields a portal staff; she's on Jim and Toby's team. Blinky and Ark are trolls. They live in the troll market and help Jim in various situations to protect people from Gunmar. After Jim was found guilty at the tribunal of releasing Gunmar from the dark lands into the human world, he was sent down to the depths to "death." But he survived, and while he was there, the troll queen Unsurna presented Gunmar as the dark lord of the troll market. Gunmar subjugated all the trolls, turning them into his servants. But the hunters—Jim, Toby, Claire, Blinky, and Ark—began evacuating everyone to the forest using the station's wheel. Because the wheel didn't arrive, Claire had to create a portal; a strand of her hair turned white from the overabundance of magic. When everyone was safe in the forest, and the guards hadn't reached them, there was jubilation. Jim gave Vandall's staff to Blinky, who became the trolls' guide, wondering what to do next.
