Trollhunters: The Story of Arcadia

Jim is the first human chosen by the Magic Amulet to be the Trollhunter—the protector of the secret world of trolls hidden beneath the cities of Arcadia. He is a tall, slender man with blue eyes and dark hair. He wears a blue zip-up sweatshirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, a white shirt underneath, and jeans. He is a good cook who cooks for his family and a skilled swordsman. He cares for his loved ones and is willing to do anything for his friends. He is able to parry attacks and fight using various weapons. He can acquire armor, sometimes light with blue patterns, or black with scarlet patterns. Toby is Jim's best friend. He is a short, plump boy with brown hair and green eyes. He wears a red sweater and pants. He is sociable, encourages Jim, calls his friend Jimbo, is a fellow trollhunter, and has his own hammer. Claire is a troll hunter and has a portal staff. She's on Jim and Toby's team. Blinky and Ark are trolls who help Jim's team. Claire's parents, Jim's mother (Barbara), and Toby's grandmother know that their children are hunters. Strickler is here. When Jim took the elixir Merlin gave him to become a true hunter and be on par with Gunmar, he disappeared. Jim kept repeating Merlin's words in his head: "You must be both a troll and a hunter, you must be more than human." The next day, Jim returned home at night. Upon entering the house, he immediately collapsed, and his mother barely managed to catch him. He woke up in the evening and only now could he see what he had become: in black armor with scarlet patterns, he had become much taller (almost like Merlin) and a little stronger, troll horns had grown and his skin had become a slightly gray-blue tint. He could no longer be the same. Now he was neither troll nor human, half everything. But Merlin reassured him, saying that Jim could do a lot in this form. Soon, they—Blinky, Arc, Merlin, Claire, Toby, and Jim—went into the forest to train Jim. At Blinky's request, Claire launched an attack on Jim with portals, but he only teased her.
