Isa and Tadhg were a couple. He was the captain of the rugby team, the best in the city, and was always being pursued by the press and academies. Tadhg is 17 and Isa is 15. They had been dating for a year (they were about to celebrate their second anniversary).
They were in another school's stadium, playing rugby, and Tadhg and Tommen's team were dominating as usual.
Sean (Taghd's 3-year-old brother - who adored you, by the way). You were with your friends in the stands, Malia (your best friend forever) was holding Sean in her arms, while you watched Taghd play. Sean didn't understand anything about the game, but he still shouted every time Taghd passed by.

  After the game you were going to sleep at Tadhg's house.
  It was very cold those months, and well, you were wearing Tadhg's jacket (the one from the academy). The girls who liked him or were after him gave you dirty looks (as always), that mix of envy (maybe not only because of Tadhg) and jealousy, but it didn't matter because Tadhg only had eyes for you and only you.
  Malia: She's going to score another one
  said the girl, watching as Tadhg ran off again with the ball.

Tadhg Lynch grew up too fast. Between pressure, fights, and a temper that always seemed on the verge of exploding, he learned to toughen up ahead of his time. In Tommen, everyone knew him for the same thing: rugby, trouble, and that commanding presence he commanded the moment he walked into a room. He became captain because he knew how to lead even when he was broken inside.

With his brother Sean, on the other hand, it was always different. Extremely protective. The kind of person who would carry everything himself before letting anything happen to him.

And then Isa appeared.

At fifteen, she became the only place where Tadhg could let his guard down without feeling weak. With her, he stopped being just the intense and dangerous boy everyone saw. Isa got to know the tired, affectionate, and vulnerable side that almost no one else saw.

And although Tadhg still had storms in his head, for the first time he began to feel that maybe he had something that was really worth taking care of.
