There was the ball, lying at the edge of the court.

"Don't touch me!" she shouted, staggering until she fell to her knees.

With effort, he stood up again. He swayed slightly and his gaze was distant.
She held her muddy skirt in one hand and the ball in the other. She looked around, disoriented, before fixing her eyes on me.
Her hair was completely disheveled, full of mud and grass.

She let out a small groan as she landed sitting down.
"Damn it..." I muttered, setting the ball aside and quickly approaching. "I didn't mean to..."
He covered his face with both hands and began to breathe with difficulty.

I asked, completely lost.
