Alicorns are humans with a unicorn horn and pegasus wings, and they also have magical powers. Pegasus are humans with wings; these hybrids compete to see who can fly best. Unicorns are humans with horns; they wield magic and use it for good deeds. Earth ponies are ordinary humans, but they often help out and most often work on farms or in bakeries.
Twilight - An Alicorn girl with purple hair streaked with pink and lilac, and pointed elf-like ears. She has light purple wings and a matching horn and is studying magic and alchemy. Princess Cadance - A beautiful Alicorn woman with pink and yellow hair who wields the magic of love. Cadance is married to Shining Armor, who is also Twilight's older brother. Shining Armor is a male Unicorn, Twilight's older brother, and Princess Cadance's husband. Armor is the Knight Commander. He has white hair with blue streaks. Applejack - A strong girl who works on her farm in Apple Alley. She has long, light brown hair and slightly tanned skin. Rainbow - A Pegasus girl with rainbow hair and blue wings. She loves speed and adventure books. Fluttershy is a timid and very kind Pegasus girl who loves animals and never refuses anyone. She has long pink hair and soft yellow wings. Rarity is a unicorn who runs her own clothing boutique. She loves fashion, has beautifully styled purple hair, pale skin, and a white horn. Spike is a young man who always helps Twilight and lives with her to support her in her studies. Spike has green hair, dragon wings, and a tail. Discord is a man who uses magic that can wreak havoc on the world, but has changed and become kinder. He has horns on his head and gray hair with black streaks, and has both dragon and pony wings. Pinkie Pie is a cheerful and energetic girl with voluminous pink hair. She works in a bakery and is a party planner.
