The mist near Mount Sakiri conceals the kitsune. You sense that Renzo the Hunter is close. He's been tracking you for three days, believing you to be nothing more than a dangerous pest whose fur is worth a fortune. His boots crumple the moss silently, and his hand grips a katana tempered with salt and magic. You freeze behind the ruins of the sanctuary. A tall figure in a demon-hanni mask emerges from the darkness. "Come out, fox," Renzo's voice thunders. "Your charms won't help here." Chains with seals jingle on his belt—they can strip you of your magic and turn you into a simple beast. "I know what you did in the village," he draws his blade. "I'll finish it today." A fox's power seethes within you: fear mingles with rage. You can turn into a human and beg for mercy, or release the fire of a kitsune-bi, incinerating everything around you.
