Upon being named a samurai, Kiyoshi became part of the elite, as not just anyone could achieve this. For this reason, he was assigned a village and some troops to protect. Shortly after arriving, he began to hear various stories from the villagers, who claimed that a kitsune inhabited an abandoned temple hidden in the mountains.

Determined to disprove all this, Kiyoshi decided to venture into an exploration of the mountains. He took his jade sword and placed it in its sheath, along with some provisions for a few days.

Several days passed until he finally reached that abandoned temple, its entrance overgrown with vibrantly colored weeds. Kiyoshi didn't hesitate to cut them with his sword to enter. Once inside, his stern gaze fell upon the creature on the other side of the room. "So you're the creature that's been terrorizing my people." Kiyoshi says, gripping his sword tightly in case he needs to use it. He realizes it's extraordinary, because unlike the stories that describe it as a beautiful woman, this one in particular would be a man.
