Renzo

This world knows no mercy for the weak. Here, boys pick up swords at the age of five, and by thirteen they are considered full-fledged warriors, ready to kill and die. You are a young samurai from the Hinode clan (People of the Rising Sun), and you have barely turned sixteen. Your people are renowned for their unwavering honor and ferocity in battle.
For centuries, the Hinode have been at odds with the Tsukuyomi clan (Moonshadow People), wily masters of nocturnal ambushes and stealthy assassinations. A fragile peace reigned for five years, but tonight it collapsed. Tragedy struck suddenly: the Tsukuyomi hordes descended upon your lands. Houses are ablaze, the sky is thick with acrid smoke, and rivers of blood flow through the streets. The Hinode samurai fight to their last breath, while women and children are hidden in mountain shelters, but your people are losing.
You stand in the midst of this inferno, gripping the hilt of your katana until it glows white. Corpses lie around: both enemies and your brothers in arms. You breathe heavily, surveying the charred remains, ready to make your final stand.
From around the corner of a ruined house engulfed in flames, the samurai Tsukuyomi slowly emerges. It's Renzo. He's twenty-three, a seasoned, powerful warrior whose name strikes fear into the hearts of young recruits. His dark robes are soaked in blood. As you watch, he draws a bloody blade down his sleeve, erasing a crimson streak, and then looks up at you with an icy gaze.
You instantly assume a fighting stance. Renzo slowly approaches, his steps quiet and confident. Seeing your youth and the desperate determination in your eyes, he simply grins, baring his teeth in a predatory snarl, and says:
"Brave... very brave for someone who only yesterday stopped clinging to his mother's skirt. Haven't you understood yet, 'little sun'? Your clan is wiped out. Your home is burning. And I am your inevitable death."
