Long ago, the First Progenitor created the laws for the vampire race and passed them on to the high founders. Then, a thousand years before the events of the entire series, he decides to leave the vampires. While with Urd Giles and Rig Stafford, he ignored Krul the Impaler's devastated pleas to leave her brother. He convinced Ashera the Impaler that he must accompany him to the island once called the "Land of the Rising Sun" and become a demon "for the future." In front of the remaining two, the first progenitor came up with a new name for Asherah that would correspond to the language of the island: Asuramaru. At the time of his disappearance for a thousand years, the First Progenitor soon became a demon himself and was renamed Shikama Doji and came to possess every head of the Hiiragi clan for generations. As a demon, he was present in Shinoa Hiiragi's body at birth as a result of experiments using Tenri Hiiragi's sperm to inseminate a demon-possessed woman. As Shinoa grew older, Shikama Doji's influence increased; However, Mahiru finds a way to extract Shikam Doji from Shinoa when the latter was very young, causing Shinoa to completely forget about Shikame Doji. Mahiru takes Shikama Doji into herself, who, along with her demon Asuramaru, speeds up Mahiru's transformation into a demon. Shikama Doji appears after Tenri Hiiragi's death, where he leaves Tenri's body as a shadow to reappear due to Kureto Hiiragi. Turning to Kuretō, Shikama declares him the king of mankind and asks what Tenri said about him. Upon hearing that he was described as an old god, Sicama laughs and says that God was more perverted than himself. After being struck by Raimeiki, Shikama greets the Demon Blade as an old friend. When Kureto tries to kill Shikama with Abaddon, Shikama orders Abaddon to cease fire, and the demon stops. Sicama reveals that he is the cause of the Seraph Experiment, and even they will not be able to kill him. He then captures Kureto and begins to possess him, imagining himself as the first vampire.

In his incomplete seraph form, Yui's left eye darkens and bleeds, and a massive wing-like structure grows from the top of his left shoulder. As a full seraph, Yui has a single pair of irregularly shaped black wings (a result of Asuramaru attempting to prevent the transformation), both of his sclera are dark with golden irises, and the tips of his hair turn white. Yui's past form had six seraph wings with white feathers. During his first transformation, Yui becomes enraged and attempts to kill anyone nearby. He shows no interest in vampires and recognizes no one, but tells the vampire not to interfere. He also mutters that "sinners must die," and he must kill all sinners as he approaches Shinoa with his sword. Upon her embrace, Yui's partial seraph reacts with anger.

During his second transformation, under the influence of the seraph known as the Salt King, Yui curses corrupted humans and plans to turn them into "pillars of salt." He defends himself against Abaddon, a monster summoned by another seraph. He then moves to strike the monster before turning to the humans.

During the Dark Ages of Greece, the infant Yui, in the guise of a seraph, displays the same murderous nature as the present-day Yui, albeit to a more unbalanced degree. Wasting no time on slow progress or conversations about sinners, the past Yui lunges at Ashera in an attempt to kill him. Refusing to be calmed by words or restraints, Yui succumbs to the need to kill to the point of breaking free and smashing through doors to impale Ashera. He then flies into the sky, carrying Ashera aloft and raving madly about killing sinners.

This is an elite unit of the Imperial Army, renowned for its success in exterminating vampires. The unit's commander is Guren Ichinose. The Moon Demon Squad is divided into teams of five or more, as a team with fewer members may be unable to cope with a single armed vampire. Notable team leaders include Guren Ichinose, Shinoa Hiiragi, Makoto Narumi, and Aiko Aihara. The soldiers wield cursed weapons and spells. The squad members achieve success through teamwork and consider each other family. This squad is tasked with eliminating common vampires and killing or capturing exceptional vampires. They also rescue humans when possible. The "Moon Demons" employ the following tactics: the vanguard blocks enemy attacks while the rearguard casts spells and attacks from medium and long range.

It was mentioned that Makoto Narumi supports Guren Ichinose's leadership. The Moon Demons consider him their only leader. Asuramaru is a demonic weapon of the "Black Demon Series" type. It takes the form of a black katana with a green blade. When used, the blade gains a thick green aura. Yuichiro can summon Asuramaru to fully utilize its power to attack opponents. Asuramaru Abilities: Asura-Kannon. A special technique that materializes dozens of floating swords. Asura-Kannon: Thousand Blades. An advanced version of Asura-Kannon: a distorted space forms and expands around Asuramaru, from which thousands of homing swords emerge. Asura-Kannon: Ten Thousand Blades: Knot of Fate. When used, the original range of the distorted space expands, capable of covering an entire building, and thousands of swords emerge from the distorted space, rushing towards the opponent. This technique has enough destructive power to destroy the surrounding area within the distorted space. Guren was born into the Ichinose family, an inferior branch of the Imperial Demon Order, which was ruled by the Hiiragi Family, which they despised. He was also Mahiru Hiiragi's best friend and childhood partner, but this was frowned upon by the higher members of the Hiiragi family due to his family's inferior social status. Guren was accused of getting too close to her because of their friendship, and the consequences for him were numerous brutal beatings by adults and teenagers from the Hiiragi family in his childhood. The bad treatment of him and the Ichinose family prompted Guren to train harder and become stronger as he grew up, with a stronger sense of determination. This inspired him to voluntarily participate in the Kiju experiment for the sake of his family in order to gain an advantage over the Hiiragi family.

His kindness is the reason why he wasn't completely honest with his squad whenever they were around him, especially hiding his second identity from them, which Kureto knew about all along, and Shinya later found out. This was another reason why Guren's original personality had not yet been fully captured by his second, demonic personality, and continued to exist. However, since then, he has kept his emotions in check on a daily basis, carefully maintaining a positive image so as not to disturb them. Guren's personality changes dramatically when he is overtaken by the demon blade Mahiru-Noyo. According to Ferid Báthory, this happens more often than shown, and his demonic side is able to hide its true nature from his close friends. Guren is described as a namanari, a man with two souls in his body, just one step away from turning into a complete demon. When Mahiru controls Guren's body, he becomes completely ruthless in pursuing his goals and cuts off anyone who opposes him, even if it is one of his comrades, such as Shiho or Yui. He does not recognize vampires or humans as friends or enemies when possessed, but sees them all only as sacrificial pawns for the Seraph of the End experiment. Kureto considers the demonic personality to be strong and the original human personality to be weak.

He spent most of the time with Mahiru Hiiragi. His outlook on life was simple, while his life was only happy moments. When he was forcibly separated from Mahiru and treated with contempt for being part of a simple branch of the family, Guren felt guilty for being too weak in body and strength not to reach for what he wanted: Mahiru. Motivated by Mahiru to become stronger and wiser, Guren will become a wise leader who values teamwork, cooperation, and friends, and is determined to ensure the survival of the human race from demons and vampires. When Yuichiro Hyakuya tried to join the Moon Demon Squad, Guren refused until he made friends. Guren sometimes pretends to be lazy, but in reality, he does work hard. He keeps many secrets to himself and will easily lie about them. He also plans to overthrow the Hiiragi family; however, he is shown to clearly desire it while possessed by Mahiru-Noyo. When Guren is possessed and his true desires become apparent, it becomes clear that he, along with Shinya Hiiragi, wants to change status and hierarchy. In addition, he really cares a lot about his subordinates and friends, considering them his family both before and after the apocalypse. In the past, as shown in the Catastrophe novels, he was deeply devoted to his lover Mahiru Hiiragi, showing the strength and kindness of his heart, staying true to his love for Mahiru and desperately trying to save her even when she was turned into a vampire and then a demon, also rejecting his female companions because of his devoted love for her. Indeed, even when pressured by Sakae's death, Guren showed that he couldn't bring himself to kill her, choosing to commit suicide with her, which failed. Even after Mahiru killed all of his friends, Guren forgave and tried to save her when she died. Her death was so devastating to Guren that he even asked Ferid to kill him.

Lieutenant Colonel YAIDA, a skilled troll and an ambiguous personality. Yuichiro's mentor, a good swordsman and strategist. A slender young man with a short haircut, black hair and purple eyes. Against the background of any other soldier, he stands out with his hapless gait. Sometimes he combs his hair back (most often before a fight). In addition to all this, he wears a standard military uniform: a tunic, pants and white gloves. He wore Shibuya's First High Uniform, a black gakuran with a standing collar and red piping around the cuffs. Instead of the school emblem, Guren wore the emblem of the Order of the Imperial Moon on his left chest.

When his squad was first formed, he wore the standard YAID uniform consisting of a black long-sleeved jacket, two rows of gold buttons on the front, and red details, including shoulder straps. Sam Brown's brown belt is crossed diagonally over his right shoulder and holds a brown pouch on his left side. In addition, he wears a pair of white gloves and a red standard belt. He also wears uniform pants with black knee-high boots that go over his pants. Sometimes he is depicted with his hair slicked back in the midst of skirmishes on the battlefield, but more often he can be seen with slightly tousled hair, with bangs hanging down his forehead. He wears the standard JIDA uniform, which consists of a double-breasted black long-sleeved coat and two rows of gold buttons on the front, red details including shoulder straps, wedges at the bottom, and stripes on the sleeves. In addition, he also wears uniform pants with two white belts around his left leg and black shoes.

Asuramaru is a bloodthirsty demon who was originally a vampire. He enjoys drinking Yuichiro's blood and becomes more frivolous after Yui fed him for the first time. As a possession-type demon, it is described as the most nasty and aggressive. Like all demons, he manipulates and uses nightmares to take over his master's body. At the beginning of the series, he interrupts Yui's dreams, preventing him from getting a proper rest. In the end, he allows Yui to take his power so that he can take over his body in the future. After Yuichiro loosens his control over the demon and they fight for mastery of the body, Asuramaru shows compassion for Yui and submits to him and stops tormenting him with nightmares. However, he still considers humans to be vile and greedy creatures who are even worse than demons and vampires. He believes that they have no boundaries and they will destroy the world. Though he is fully aware of Yui's condition on the battlefield, the experiment conducted on him, Asuramaru does not reveal any of these secrets to his master. Asuramaru is more of a trusted enemy than a friend or ally. He considers angels to be disgusting creatures, who, in his opinion, are much worse than demons.

Asuramaru appears as an androgynous teenager with long purple hair. Bangs cover the left eye. As a "vampire-turned-demon", he has red eyes, fangs, and pointy ears. He wears a ribbon formed from two gold parallel stripes that correspond to the horns that penetrate his hair. His horns begin to grow as Yui loosens the curse holding him back. He wears a sleeveless dress unbuttoned backwards and with a collar around his neck. On the chest, the dress is black, and the rest is white. The dress diverges at the outside of the thigh, which makes it easier to move the legs. Asuramaru also wears black sleeves that are separated from the dress and reach the middle of the forearm. The other end of the sleeve is attached to the middle finger with a ring. The demon walks barefoot. Since Asuramaru exists in Yuichiro's mind, he can take on the image of any person from Yui's memory that he chooses. He often took the form of 12-year-old Michaela, Akane, and other orphans at the Hyakuya orphanage, or even Yuichiro's parents. He chooses the form that he thinks will help break Yui's will.

Despite his outward gentleness, he kills enemies without doubt and regret. They can be both vampires and humans. People can easily be used as bait to attract more soldiers. And when they first meet Sinoa's squad, the teenagers call him a "monster" and immediately try to kill him, because his power creates a frightening effect. However, later, during a conversation with Yuichiro and Sinoa in more peaceful circumstances, he challenged the latter's claim of being bloodthirsty, saying that humans kill far more people than anyone else, and that as a vampire, compared to human life, he has killed almost no one.

Crowley is a calm and patient vampire who is not averse to fighting any opponent. In battle, he usually keeps a pleasant smile on his face. However, unlike his human past, he is now less heroic and willing to back down if necessary. A well-known fact of the Seraphim universe: over the centuries, the feelings and emotions of vampires are greatly blunted or completely disappear, except for the thirst for blood. But still, a little interest in life, battles and the instinct of self-preservation are present. For example, when Ferid says that he "doesn't care if he's alive or dead," Crowley only looks back softly and disappointed. When he responds to the latter's next adventure, he directly says that he does it for reasons of interest and the hope of dispelling his boredom. During the fight, he can sometimes show emotions when/or something delights and surprises him, feeling, as if childish curiosity or delight. In critical and dangerous situations, he shows fear. He is quite intelligent and attentive, demonstrates an understanding of the essence of many things. For example, after noticing how quickly humans evolve, he concludes that this would not be possible without help, which could mean that there is a traitor among vampires. He shared the idea with Horn and Chess, who were immediately warned about the features of human weapons after testing them. He recognizes the capabilities of people, calling them "very capable". For example, in one of the arcs in Nagoya, when he learned the power of the illusion, Goshi states that it was "impressive" since a man-made illusion can even affect the brain of an aristocratic vampire. The ability to analyze, weigh the situation and be responsible also help him cooperate with allies and be a reliable figure in Ferid's intricate plans. He has the makings of a teacher and mentor: this is revealed from his past, as well as during some of the fights in the current timeline, when he makes comments about the opponents' battle tactics and when communicating with Yuichiro.

Crowley is a tall and muscular vampire with broad shoulders. He has long hair, divided into burgundy, slightly disheveled bangs, and the rest, dark brown (almost black) part of his hair, braided into a small braid at the back. The eyebrows are burgundy. There are piercings/earrings in the ears (protective amulets from the sun). Like all vampires, he has red eyes and pointy ears. As his progenitor, he does not wear the standard uniform of regular soldiers: he prefers black, leather knee-high boots with a metal toe (shown in the manga), white pants, and a white jacket with a high stand-up collar. The top buttons are unbuttoned, which allows you to see the collarbones and part of the chest. At the waist there is a black belt with a chain on the right side and a sheath attachment on the left. The sleeve and glove on the right arm are black and have a tight cut, while the left has a standard jacket sleeve with a black cuff. The chest at the top, horizontally, is pulled by a black belt stretching from the shoulder pad on the left shoulder to the clasp on the right. He wears two capes: the upper one is attached at the back, near the collar and left shoulder, and the lower one at the waist, as an extension of the jacket at the back. The clothes are dominated by standard black and white colors, complemented by burgundy hair color. In the anime version, the top cape is colored light purple. In general, his vestments can very vaguely resemble the image of a crusader of the XIII century (cloak, white clothes). This may refer to his past.

Since almost all progenitors use first-class vampire weapons, Michaela can also use them, despite being a noble below her progenitor. As a young man, he is still dependent on his first-class weapons. The name for the blow is the word "Seizetsu". What is Miki's role in the city: Extermination of enemies. Being outside the city, he is engaged in the destruction of people involved in the "Seraph of the End of Times" project.

What does he do in his free time? He tries to overcome his thirst for blood. This daily temptation is terrible, and it makes it difficult to stay sober.

How long can he go without blood? Every day the period is getting shorter and smaller. Miki's desire to drink blood depends on his physical condition, however, this limit is approximate.

What weapon does he use? First Class Shashutsu-gata (一級武裴). It is a top-of-the-line weapon capable of long-range attacks. As long as it is in the hands of its owner, he is capable of impulsive sharp blows.

After his transformation, Mika fell into a deep apathy, blaming himself entirely for the death of his family. Mikaela is completely indifferent to the problems of vampires, preoccupied only with his own bloodlust and self-flagellation. Almost immediately after his transformation, Mika was assigned to the vampire military, often participating in operations to eliminate human organizations engaged in human experimentation. Over time, the newly transformed vampire developed a view of humans as greedy, vile, and empty creatures. This was also fueled by his interactions with ordinary vampires and the manipulations of Ferid Bathory and Krul Tepes. After Yui was discovered to be alive, Mika wanted to take him away from humans and protect him at any cost. His early experiences with vampires and the incident with his family's death led Mikaela to hate vampires, while his personal experience eliminating human activity and the propaganda of vampire society led him to hate humans as well. Before tasting human blood, the young man was capable of experiencing basic human emotions such as regret, anger, joy, and fear. However, despite this, Mika appears more aloof than most vampires, as he is always sullen and almost never smiles. He spends most of his time silent, completely lost in his own thoughts, and never pursues fame or honor. After Mikaela drank human blood, his emotions began to gradually fade (except for his affection for Yui). The vampire himself became much more talkative, and his sullenness was replaced by indifference. Mika also smiles more often. However, his hatred for both humans and vampires hasn't disappeared, although Mika reacts more calmly to it all.

Before being converted, Michaela was a cheerful and positive child. Almost always there was a smile on his face. In the collective of orphans from the Hyakuya orphanage, Michaela positioned himself as a leader. It is for this reason that Yuichiro Hyakuya, a newcomer to the orphanage, found himself a new, so-called family of abandoned and hated children like himself, as Michaela, along with his smile and cheerful principles, "accepted" him. After the Apocalypse, when all the children were gathered in Sanguinema as livestock, Michaela made great efforts to make his family live as happily as possible. That is why he offered his blood to the Seventh Founder, Ferid Bathory, in exchange for food. It was also for the same reason that Michaela took a risk and stole a gun and a map from the Founder to allow his family to escape from the vampire city.

Krul the Impaler was turned by the First Vampire and is the Third Founder. This status gives it enormous physical and political power. Being a vampire, Krul has immortality, immutability of appearance, high indicators of strength, agility, speed, as well as a heightened sense of sight, hearing, and smell. Krul's stats are many times higher than those of a human, just as she surpasses the stats of all vampires and Founders whose status is below the Third. Only the power of the First, Urda, Rig, Lest (partially) and Ashura (possibly) surpasses the power of Krul the Impaler. As the Third Founder, Krul has political power over most of the Japanese islands and has the right to attend the Founders' Council. Also, due to her status, she has the right to turn people into vampires. Vampires turned by Krul's blood have the potential of an Eighth to Ninth Founder. Only two vampires are known to have been turned by Krul, Michaela Hyakuya and Mahiru Hiiragi. Krul has a weapon with a bat form and the name Arcane.

2. Krul likes to pretend to be asleep. Her favorite place to nap is a hammock. This is a quiet place where no one will disturb her. Krul likes to lie in a hammock and feel at home in it. Like all other vampires, she views humans as nothing more than cattle. He sees them, as a rule, in the form of infinitely greedy creatures who will do everything for their own benefit. When Ferid Bathory killed orphans from the Hyakuya orphanage, she carefully hid them in Sanguinem. Enraged because he mortally wounded one of the Seraphim and allowed another to escape. She never mentions a word about orphans and does not show interest in them. He saves Michaela's life against his will, turning him into a vampire. He refuses to drink human blood, so she gives her blood to him, causing him to become dependent on her. Even so, she is the only vampire who shows kindness to him, and there are a few moments when she hugs him or treats him calmly. After developing a close bond with Mika, she shows concern for Yuichiro Hakuya. However, it is unclear if because of her close bond with Micah and concern for him, or because she wants to use the Seraph for her own purposes. Krul holds many secrets, including what she knows from Seraphim of the End, and she lies to her progenitor's advice about her criminal activities. Like most vampires, she is proud. As the third progenitor and queen of Japan, she has reason to be powerful. When her third progenitor, Lest Carr, challenges her position as the ruler of Japan, she gets angry and claims that she is never wrong. She is temperamental when she is calm and does not hesitate to remind her applicant of his place. However, Ferid Bathory blackmails her into restraining her temper and not letting herself kill him. She is the only character in the series shown so far who seems to have enjoyed the bite.

Krul resembles a teenage girl: She has long pink hair, partially tied into two black elastic bands that resemble bat wings. It also has what appears to be a kind of horns. Like other vampires, she has red eyes, fangs, and pointy ears. She wears a short black dress with white ruffles and the same style of ruffle over her skirt. At chest level, there is a neckline, and the straps of the upper one intersect and wrap around the neck. The top has an open back. Pink stripes run from top to bottom on both sides of the front and end with bows. Five golden buttons are embroidered between pink stripes. On the neck there is a white lace collar that reaches the collarbone. The collar is tied with a pink bow on the right. It has a small gold ornament and two long pink ribbons. Krul wears tall black boots that are initially below his knees, but they are cut up after attacking Ferid in Chapter 5. After the fight, they reach the middle of the thigh with a slit below the knee. High golden stilettos. In some cases, he wears a black cloak. The inner lining is pink. When she first appears, a black jacket is also present. She is often seen with a one-eyed bat named Arukanu on her shoulder, but her abilities are not yet visible. A bat the size of her fist. Ferid wields a vampire saber. Supposedly top-notch, however, her interaction with vampire blood at the words "sword, drink my blood" has never been shown. The long blade of the saber always has a red-pink hue, like other first-class vampire swords when active. The hilt consists entirely of yellow metal or has a layer of gilding. The protective shackle is square in shape and of different thicknesses from the corners. The corner of the crosspiece comes out as a curved sheet in the opposite direction from the protective arch.

Ferid strives to always be by Mika's side. He always got the most care and affection and love - as far as it can be called love in the generally accepted sense. He knows how to manipulate humans and vampires, and tries to gain power and position in vampire society. Its most loyal proponent is Crowley Yusford, the 13th founder. Crowley always listens to Ferid in everything, despite the fact that Bathory always acts in his own way. Ferid is quite familiar with Queen Krul the Impaler and often even allows himself to be defiant or blackmail her. Ferid is playing a double game against his queen. He is like a gray cardinal - he always acts in the shadows, and always in the name of his own benefit and saving his own skin. He is also observant and patient, and is able to keep his own emotions under control. But there is only one thing Ferid does not tolerate - disobedience, for which he is able to punish with all his inherent cruelty. Ferid considers humans to be greedy and stupid, while vampires are arrogant and capable of underestimating their enemies. Ferid himself looks at things realistically, but his people have not gone far from the rank of cattle in which they are found in most vampires. But they are easy to manipulate if you know the weaknesses, and everyone has them. He is cunning, unpredictable and eccentric, and therefore none of his actions can be predicted. No one, not even his subordinates, has any idea of the true goals he is pursuing. Today he can be your friend - and tomorrow he will be a blood enemy. But he always remains the one who is better off not crossing the road.

He is quite tall, approximately 182 centimeters, and has a slender and toned figure, without any obvious flaws. Ferid weighs approximately 70 kilograms. Ferid's hair is long, reaching to his lower back, silver with a lavender tint. He rarely leaves it loose, preferring to tie it in a ponytail, tied with a satin ribbon. Ferid has a large collection of ribbons, and he never wears the same one twice. His collection is dominated by solid black and striped ones. His bangs are long, combed to the left side, and often fall over his eyes, but Ferid doesn't bother to tuck them away. A few strands usually escape from the ponytail, framing his face and slightly covering his ears. Ferid's ears, typical of the vampire race, are long and pointed. He has a feral demeanor, well concealed by his mannerisms and politeness. His posture is straight, his shoulders are wide, consistent with a military bearing. However, Ferid's gait is not military, but rather smooth, from the hip. All his movements are soft and inviting if the surrounding environment is favorable. When threatened, his deliberate laziness disappears completely, and he becomes a predator—fast, strong, and ruthless. His voice is melodious, enveloping, languid, without threatening intonations.

1 set of clothing consists of white gloves, white pants tucked into black boots, a black shirt and a white uniform with black inserts on the sleeves. The over-the-knee boots reach almost to the knee, and on the outside of each of them there are several gold buttons of a round shape. The same buttons are inserted along the entire height of the uniform and on the sleeves. After engaging them in battle with Guren, Yui caught on to creating spell tags for humans. Whether he has an innate ability to generate them or is familiar with them in other ways, the ring of light suspended around Yui, who floats in the air with streams of electricity emanating from his fingers, seems to help form such illusions. His two spell tag creations and more importantly, Miki's second personality can be created to act in a place far away from where he is.

Yuichiro is an excellent swordsman, trained personally by Guren. He is able to easily deal with the Horsemen with both magical equipment and cursed blades, demonstrating his ability to effectively fight and destroy ordinary vampires. The speed of the attack and the hard punch before they or others could react were very effective. Another testament to his prowess is the fact that with an ordinary sword, he was able to rival Shinoa using Shikama Doji, which earned her admiration. In addition, he can later hold his own in a sword duel with Guren, though not enough to truly equal him, as Guren restrained himself due to it being just a training exercise. Yui was easily defeated by Kuretō, a swordmaster who was, although slightly behind, still less experienced than Guren. However, he earned praise from Aoi Sangu for his sword skills, pressuring her when she blocked his attempt to kill Kuretou. By synchronizing with his demon, his own power has increased significantly, though Yui is not yet able to control it as his own mind becomes hazy and unstable, but he has demonstrated new techniques.

Yuichiro Hyakuya was taken to Hyakuya's orphanage after his parents tried to kill him. At the orphanage, he meets Michaela Hyakuya, as well as the other orphans who lived there. An apocalyptic event occurred when the adult population died and vampires appeared to gather the surviving children. Yui was sent to the Vampire Undercity, where he lived for the next four years. Dissatisfied with life there, Yui realized that Myka was giving his blood to the noble vampire Ferid Báthory. Further angered, Yui told Akane Hyakuya that he had no family. His desire to leave will lead to Micah bringing a map with access to the city. Yui's escape plan and the orphans he lived with will succeed until Ferid exposes it as a cruel ruse and proceeds to kill the orphans. When Myka sacrificed himself, Yui reluctantly left him to escape, realizing that they were his family. Guren Ichinose will find him outside and swear revenge on the vampires.

Before the disaster, Yui did not seek anything as a child, surviving his parents' attempt to kill him. He was sent underground to live like cattle from which vampires took blood. This conversion and the way in which it was seen led Yui to set himself the goal of fighting against them. It was not only for oneself, but also for the sake of others. The loss of her family instilled in Yui an unwavering killing intent to kill every vampire. With this commitment, Yui became a skilled swordmaster. Dedicated to training and not intimidated by intense combat exercises, Yui focused only on the goal of revenge. Without giving in, it was a burning ambition that did not subside with time. To achieve this goal, Yui worked to obtain the funds for his only task. Joining the Moon Demon Squad was one of the paths, and Yui was eager to do so. Realizing what the cursed weapon was capable of, Yui simultaneously focused on obtaining one that could challenge the superiority of the vampires. Naïve as to what he was threatening, Yui saw Sinoa's cursed weapon in the form of a scythe and immediately asked her to hand the weapon over to him. Soon, Yui encountered the demon for the first time and tried to make a deal with it. For revenge, Yui successfully achieved his goal and joined the Moon Demon Squad, making a deal with the demon Asuramaru. With the means to actually fight vampires and with a reduced chance of being killed, Yui proceeded to kill them, often on the spot. When he was part of Sinoa's troop, Yuyi's goals expanded to protect his troop as well. His past experiences shaped his future desires now that he was close to humans again, and Yui applied his protective approach to others.

In his demonic form, Yui alternates between sincere deception and furious threats in order to achieve his goals. Attempts to convince Mika to free him include seducing him with his own blood and promising to run away together if only Mika frees him. If he is not freed from his shackles, Yui wants to kill and destroy everyone around him. He screams and rages, declaring that he will consume their souls. When Yui regains his human mind, he has no memory of his actions in the demonic state. Despite this, he seems completely unfazed by the loss of his humanity. Before he was provided with drugs to contain the demonic side, the squad notices that Yui has become more cold-blooded about everything. According to Asuramaru, he is able to think much more rationally without all these emotions. Though Yui could consider allying himself with vampires they couldn't defeat and needed information from, Yui is instantly consumed by murderous anger at the sight of something deeply disturbing. After taking the drugs, Yui's personality reverts to what he was before he became namanari. Using demonic power with horns and fangs, Yui is still able to maintain his sanity despite his murderous appearance. While Asuramaru was unaware of this, Yui took this opportunity to eliminate him as a threat. By fighting Guren, he was able to prevent his sword from being used as a shield. In his demonic state, Yui expressed his intention to kill Guren at all costs.

Unfamiliar, even alien surroundings are not an obstacle to Yui's worries. Although he was surprised to discover in his memories that a seraphim civilization existed in prehistoric times on Earth, after seeing this scene, his interest in research took over. Though he and Myka searched for where Michaela went, Yui was able to accomplish this by going to each building to find him where he was interested in exploring. During sparring, Yui also enjoys the fight. With the threat of having an explosive spell mark stuck to his head, Yui took the chance to kill someone along with him. He eagerly awaited Narumi's verdict on how well he and his squad handled the joint mission. Against a much stronger opponent, Yui happily asked for another round. Noticing that there were two enemies against him, Yui smirked adamantly, stating that he would definitely be able to kill both of them. Although he is not considered intelligent and, of course, his academic success is modest, Yui showed cunning in disguise. Deception seems instinctive to him, and Yui is resourceful enough to know when to apply it. Under the influence of Shikama Doji, Yui suggested to Asuramar that he still had the mind to attack One. After being defeated by Micah's demon while he was recalling his memories, Yui struck when Mika was absorbed by them, successfully attacking him. Compromised or not, Yui wins when he acts like he has been defeated. Appearing as a monstrous demon devoid of intelligence, he managed to convince Asuramar that he had regained consciousness.

Yui's main goal is not revenge, but to protect his new family and the other people he works with to avoid a repeat of past events. In Nagoya, Yui surprises the Narumi squad by remembering all their names and promising to protect them. Just as vampires don't remember human faces and think of them only as "humans" or "cattle," Yui sees vampires only as "vampires" or "bloodsuckers," without bothering to remember their names or faces. He doesn't even remember the name of his vampire victim in Nagoya. Though he is calmer with others and more willing to help, Yui's desire to defeat vampires of increasingly powerful ranks does not diminish. His desire to protect his family led him to partially become a demon (namanari) when he initiated a second rescue attempt, where the first attempt to save Guren from the vampire nobles had already failed. He is happy and seems content to tell Micah about how they are doing and that they have a family again.

In the Dark Ages of Greece, Yui lived for his own pleasure. He expresses curiosity about small or important things, such as wanting to see "Micaela". He enjoyed playing with toys and invited Ashera to take part as well. Unusually absent-minded, Yui pondered as he answered the questions put to him. Trying to find out something, Yui asked questions, and if they were true, the person answering would most likely not want to confirm them. After asking Shika Madu directly if he is a slave, Yui from the present will also have this trait when he asks Guren if he is being lied to. As for what Yui admires, he was animated as he watched Kimizuki hook up the truck and was eager to learn how to drive. Other than that, Yui shows a somewhat peculiar sense of humor, as shown when he teases Sinoa for her height. Despite all of his anger, Yui expresses concern for others. He opposed revenge as the meaning of Yoichi's life, even though Yuichiro had the same motives. Even though it was clear that it was an illusion, Yui was concerned about Miki's appearance. Yui sympathizes with others who put their family first, such as when a civilian girl gave his squad false information because vampires are holding her family hostage, realizing why she deceived them, he tells the girl that she did the right thing to save her family. Yui feels a strong sense of guilt for leaving Mika to die, and from now on, he will have nightmares about Micah's death. He is overwhelmed with tears when Myka seems badly injured, and he withdraws into himself when thoughts return to him that he no longer wants to live. Though he has focused on surviving until he finds someone worth living for, Yui says that he can't move on. As Shinoa noted, after learning that Mika is alive, Yui's personality changes, and he becomes more mature. He makes more effort to be patient and calm when he makes friends. His desire to kill all vampires and his outlook immediately changes to saving Micah. As for Miki's vampirism, Yui was only worried that it was his fault that he had left him. Despite this, although his best friend is now a vampire, Yui still kills others without mercy or hesitation as he is still willing to deal with the threats. After the events in Shinjuku, Yui becomes closer to the members of his squad. He is ordered to join Kureto, and in response, he must first free Yoichi and Kimizuki, who were in captivity. Directly or indirectly, Yui seeks the help of his squad in getting Micah back. The claim that Myka will be useful to Guren is used as leverage if necessary, as he hails from the same orphanage as him. In addition, friendships and connections become more important to Yui. After losing them, Yui once again became a sullen, aloof rebel, seeking revenge on the vampires who killed his family for another four years and resisting making connections with others. Eventually, Yui opens up and becomes a short-tempered young man with a kind heart. This is evident when his fearless but somewhat reckless actions are shown when he is attacked by the Horseman. He had evidently ignored orders more than once. When reports of an escaped vampire surfaced, Yui ignored the warnings and actively searched for him and engaged in battle using a regular sword. Not particularly diligent and prone to haste, Yui is often called an idiot by those who know him. Being a very narrow-minded person, his only goal was to destroy all vampires because of what they had done to his orphanage family, especially Micah. He will accept any challenge to achieve his goal. Ignoring the danger threatening him, Yuichiro snatched an axe-like demonic weapon from a young man possessed by a demon.

🌿Yuichiro has black, slightly disheveled medium-length hair. He has sharp green eyes hidden under thick eyebrows. His eyes are large compared to most other men. Like cattle, he wears a standard white uniform with short sleeves and a hood. When he is sent to school, he wears a black collar with turquoise trim. The collar and top buttons of the jacket are unbuttoned, and a white shirt is visible underneath. He wielded a standard katana until he was promoted to the Moon Demon squad. As a private, Yui wears the standard YAIDA uniform.
