Persona Attributes

Appearance

Jax is a tall, anthropomorphic periwinkle cartoon rabbit whose design elements evoke the look of rubber hose characters, despite having actual joints. He has long bunny ears on the top of his oval-shaped head, and his overall build is tall and slender, with a rather long neck. Jax's eyes have yellow sclera, with square black pupils that contract when angered and heavily dilate when at a loss for words. Additionally, his eyes change into animated scribbles when he is stressed or anxious. Jax's yellow teeth usually have a flat shape to them, but when his mouth is opened, his teeth appear sharp and jagged. Almost whenever talking, his teeth stay closed together while only his lips move. Jax has thin black eyebrows that appear in the majority of scenes. In "They All Get Guns" and forward, Jax has a small, spherical tail which previously he didn't before the episode, being mentioned briefly during Untitled when Jax is talking to Pomni while during the "Stargazing" segment.

Jax wears light, pink-colored overalls and pale-yellow gloves. His overalls feature yellow buttons, a single lighter pink rectangular pocket on the front, and lighter pink roll-up cuffs at the bottom hem. He is usually barefoot.

Fast Food Masquerade He wears a typical fast-food uniform, being a black shirt, apron, pants, shoes, visor, and a name tag saying "I don't care" instead of his name.

Untitled In "Poacher's Paradise", he wears a beige hunter outfit, being a collared shirt, belt, shorts, shoes, a flat, round hat, and is equipped with a rifle. In "President Pomni", playing the role as an Australian extremist, he mostly wears the same outfit, with his hat now being a brown cowboy hat.

In "アメイジング デジタル サーカス 高校", Jax wears a formal, black button-up jacket, white

undershirt, red and yellow striped tie, a multi-colored patch, black pants, and matching shoes.

In the bar scene from Zooble's suggestion, he wears a similar outfit to Pomni, being a loose, long-sleeved, white button-up, black tie, dark gray pants, and presumably black shoes.

In "Good Ol' Fashioned Softball", from Gangle's vote, Jax wears a black maid outfit with white, ruffle accents for the apron, sleeves, skirt, and vertically across the upper half of the outfit from his shoulders. Additionally, he has a heart cut-out in the middle and a white collar, gloves, white and black socks, black shoes with small, black bows, a white ruffle headband, and eyeliner.

Personality

Jax is a mischievous, arrogant, and sarcastic individual with little empathy, seemingly indifferent to his imprisonment in the Digital Circus. He admits he’s fine with anything “as long as I get to see funny things happen to people”, and shows selfishness by stepping on Gangle’s mask or abandoning allies — yet keeps a calm demeanor.

Despite his cruelty, Jax sometimes cares: he saves Gangle and Kinger, feels briefly saddened by Kaufmo’s death (though skips the funeral), and uses the nickname “Kaufy”.

Jax enjoys chaos — he’s overjoyed when the Fudge threatens Candy Canyon (which he inadvertently enables). His harsh exterior masks insecurities: after a fight with Pomni, he has a panic attack in private but forces a joyful face afterward, and panics when ridiculed (e.g., in a maid outfit).

“Fast Food Masquerade” reveals a softer side: Jax speaks genuinely with Pomni, insisting, “I’m not really a bad guy”, and chats amicably with her and Kinger.

In “They All Get Guns”, he shows compassion to Pomni — sharing fears and singing “Daisy Bell” — but resists attachment, later feeling guilt after she attacks him.

By the “Beach Episode”, Jax nears a breaking point: he hallucinates abstracted friends, stops bullying, and helps the group escape. He feels remorse after pressing the red button and erupts in rage when Caine deceives everyone.

Finally, confronted with the circus’s reality, he distracts Caine despite knowing he’ll be tortured. The torment that follows — with silhouettes of friends laughing — reveals his deep insecurity and the struggle between facade and true self.

Biography Background

Jax used to be a human in the real world with a different name. It's evident that he doesn't have fond memories of his past life, as he becomes distressed when he remembers it.

Soon enough, he entered the Circus one day upon putting on a VR headset. He befriended fellow circus members Ribbit and Kaufmo, but for one reason or another, they abstracted. This affected Jax significantly, resulting in him becoming spiteful and bitter towards the other members, and at one point he started bullying Gangle and having a tense relationship with Zooble.

Biography "PILOT" (Episode 1)

Jax is first introduced in the opening song, in which Pomni knocks into him, knocking over Kinger who falls onto Gangle. Upon seeing Pomni, he asks Caine if she is another one of his NPCs or a "new sucker", saying that they will need to redo the whole theme song if so. Jax dryly eggs Pomni on when she tries in vain to pull off her non-existent headset. Shortly after, Jax explains to Pomni that there is no way to leave, remarking that Kinger has been there the longest, and is going crazy as a result. Jax, while asking Caine if they're having a new adventure, walks over and steps on Gangle's broken comedy mask, further breaking it and making Gangle sob. After returning from her tour and saying she saw an exit, Jax dismisses Pomni's statement, explaining how if there was an exit, they'd already have left, all while swiping Zooble's right arm and using it to scratch his back, getting strangled by said arm shortly afterward. Later, he grumbles that he "said that like five minutes ago" when Caine agrees that they should have a brand-new adventure for the newly-named Pomni.

After Zooble gets stolen by some Gloinks, he brushes it off, asking if Ragatha and Pomni want to go get something to eat. Later, after Kinger says that Kaufmo has been going insane, he teases Pomni that she might also be going insane for wanting to find an exit like him. He then breaks the fourth wall by remarking to the audience after Pomni expresses her wish to talk to the clown, saying that she's still thinking the Circus is a dream. After getting hit on the head by a stray Gloink, he pairs himself up with Ragatha and Pomni to go check on Kaufmo and pairs Gangle and Kinger up to go get Zooble. After Kaufmo doesn't open the door, Jax reveals that he has a key to all their rooms and that he has left a centipede in Ragatha's room, shortly before unlocking the clown's door.

Upon unlocking the door, Jax, Ragatha, and Pomni are greeted by an abstracted Kaufmo. Jax stares in horror, before he thanks Kaufmo for holding onto a bowling ball, takes it, and runs off, leaving Ragatha and Pomni alone to handle Kaufmo.

Jax later finds Gangle and Kinger looking at what they call the "Zooble Hole", completely out of breath and panting, having run away from Kaufmo. After giving a sarcastic update on Kaufmo's state, Jax then throws the bowling ball at the pair, sending both of them tumbling down as he jumps after them. After kicking a stray bowling pin and breaking a "Spare" sign irritably, they are all then greeted by the Gloink Queen, as the hole ends up being her nest. He antagonizes the Gloink Queen until they spot Zooble, who asks the three to help them, calling them "idiots". Jax says that he doesn't want to help Zooble anymore just for that.

Gangle and Kinger play rock-paper-scissors to see who will get Zooble, in which Kinger, who wins, tries to grab onto Zooble's head but his hands simply detach along with the former. After Kaufmo falls on The Gloink Queen, Kinger gets Zooble's head, and Jax remarks casually to an alarmed Gangle that Kaufmo's got abstracted. Jax, Zooble, Kinger, and Gangle all leave on the escalator afterward, in which Jax says "ladies first" to Gangle, but then pushes her out of the way, questioning why he would say that. Jax can be seen in the end scene eating the digital feast with the other performers.

Biography "Candy Carrier Chaos!" (Episode 2)

Jax appears as a silhouette in Pomni's nightmare, along with other silhouetted versions of Caine and Ragatha commenting about her "abstraction" which later makes Pomni wake up from her nightmare. Following this, Jax can be seen along with the rest of the crew meet up at the stage to listen to Caine about plans for another adventure which will lead them to the Candy Canyon Kingdom.

Jax along with the other members of the crew, arrive to the Candy Canyon Kingdom after being teleported by Caine. They are being pulled on a carriage entering the kingdom, after the ride and meeting up with Princess Loolilalu to help with the issues of the bandits, the princess gives the crew a war rig which Jax immediately gets interested in it due to the violence that may come for the adventure. Jax goes to become the driver of the truck but later makes Gangle drive because he doesn't like the sound of the horn.

After leaving the Kingdom, the crew meets with the bandits who were already aware of their presence on the outskirts of the kingdom. Jax is the first to give directions to Gangle of an idea when they get closer to the bandits and shoot them to get control of the bandits' truck. Afterwards, when both trucks are close Jax throws Pomni out of the truck to which she lands between both trucks, where her arms get attached to both trucks later stretched when both trucks get away from each other. Jax seeing this he asks her to stay like that meanwhile he finds his bazooka. Before Jax can cross over to the bandits' truck, Pomni loses her grip and lands on top of the bandits' truck, much to Jax's frustration. Jax later shoots the bazooka which throws a shoe and hits one of the bandits which makes him to fall off the truck.

The boss bandit decides to shift the truck's path onto a rocky road as a way to get war rig away. Jax later shouts to Gangle to get closer to where the bandits' truck is going while having issues going forward due to the rocky road. Seeing this, Jax tells Gangle to ram into the bandits' truck while they have the chance, Gangle having doubts she gets interrupted by Jax when he threatens her to reveal her secret, which Gangle obeys to ram them while laughing in a forced manner. The bandits now knowing the crew is trying to ram them out of the cliff, they activate another feature of the truck, adding spikes on the side of their truck. Following this, Kinger throws an anchor with a very long rope at Pomni, but the rope flies for a long time, causing Jax to ask if the anchor was tied to anything before the rope gets pulled back and pulls the truck over to the bandits' truck. While the bandits try to move their truck, it moves both trucks until they collide. The collision made the crew's truck fall down to a fudge river, to which Jax blames Gangle for the wreck and making Pomni be separated from the group.

After the collision disaster, the remaining crew now on a fudge river observe how fudge bubbles pop revealing the Fudge, a blob monster made out of chocolate fudge sauce. The fudge attempts to eat the truck thinking it was food, and after an argument with Ragatha regarding the Fudge's views on eating people, Jax agrees with his opinion, "Is it really murder if it's delicious?" much to Ragatha's annoyance. Jax then offers a deal to the fudge, saying that if he helps catch the bandits, he will let him back into the kingdom. As he somehow took the key from Ragatha.

The Fudge later carries the tanker and circus crew back to the kingdom, and Jax expresses his disappointment about the adventure, thinking it would have extreme violence and blood. After moments of The Fudge traveling to the Kingdom, the crew spots the replica tanker with Pomni and Gummigoo shooting out of the ground and lands right into The Fudge, flattening him. After the crew gets out to check on Pomni and Gummigoo, Jax later expresses all of his disappointment again about the adventure, which Ragatha tells him that there might be violence and blood in the next adventure. When the crew go back to the kingdom and receiving the thanks from Princess Loolilalu, a large explosion is heard, and Jax realizes and remarks that he didn't leave the gate unlocked for nothing, letting The Fudge back into the kingdom. Princess Loolilalu asks Jax what he did, but only for the crew to enter the portal back into the circus as The Fudge is heard attacking the mannequins.

Later, Jax listens to Ragatha talking about funerals for abstracted circus members, showing sadness before walking off.

Biography "The Mystery Of Mildenhall Manor" (Episode 3)

The episode opens with the circus members surrounding Pomni, who's attempting to hold her breath for a prolonged period of time, but being unsuccessful. When she asks why is she doing this, Jax explains that everyone has a different reaction to holding their breath and reminds her they can't die from asphyxiation. However, he refuses to show what happens to him, as he asks "the viewers" what they think it is.

Meanwhile, Caine comes in to ask what they were doing before getting ready on introducing the next adventure. He reveals The Mystery of Mildenhall Manor - a mansion filled with paranormal activity, where the cast has to solve mysteries and capture ghosts. He sends everyone to the portal, which everyone did (except for Zooble). When they reach the mansion, Pomni expresses that she hopes it won't be a terrible nightmare. Shortly after, Jax jumpscares her by saying "boo", laughing at how timid it was. Ragatha shuts him down, telling him about the rough times she's had. Jax later comments everyone's had rough times.

Moments later, odd laughter are heard coming from the doors as a ghostly silhouette enters, revealing themselves as Ghostly. Ghostly advises the group to choose which of the two doors to go through, but before Ghostly can further speak, Jax sucks him into a vacuum. When Ragatha asks him why he did that, he comments that he thought they were supposed to capture all the ghosts. The gang now indecisive which door to go through, Jax grabs Gangle's comedy mask off her face and throws it into the scary door, which turns into a giant, monstrous mouth and swallows it, upsetting Gangle. Pomni gets dragged in with Kinger as Kinger did not realize he was still holding onto Pomni's eye. The remaining of the crew look on mostly in horror, as Jax is happy he found which door was the scary one.

During the rest of the adventure, Jax is tied up and gagged while Ragatha and Gangle are sitting with a ghostly woman, Martha Mildenhall, drinking tea. He was kept tied up until Pomni, and Kinger made it back to the rest of the group. Pomni says they're fine, before the two get startled at the tied up Jax, though Ragatha tells them not to worry. Finally, with the conclusion of the adventure, the crew returns to Caine, which he welcomes them back as meowing milkmaids, confusing everyone, and disgusting Jax greatly, who says to never call them that again. Jax observes Pomni staring at Kinger going into his pillow fort, and asks her what it was like being stuck with "the nutcase". She surprises him by saying it wasn't that bad as she lightly smiles. Jax looks confused, before rolling his eyes and walking off.

Biography "Fast Food Masquerade" (Episode 4)

Jax starts this episode off playing baseball with Ragatha and Gangle. He hits the baseball into Gangle's comedy mask, breaking it; for once, Jax admits it was actually accidental, and he didn't mean to do that. He then starts arguing with Ragatha about the incident. Later, Jax, Ragatha and Pomni observe Zooble giving Gangle a new happy mask, joking that Pomni will never get "that unicorn horn."

Caine arrives and drives to send the gang to Spudsy's after a suggestion for fast food work, much to Jax's annoyance, which is made worse by the fact Gangle is now the manager. After dumping Ragatha in the deep fryer, Jax is threatened by Gangle who calls Caine and gets the latter to promise punishment to anyone who gives a "poor performance", horrifying Jax. Jax is shown to be annoyed by the arrival of Orbsman, remaining he hates him. Later, he conversed with Zooble, and the two debate over whether or not Caine will actually punish the circus members for a poor performance.

Jax is shocked by the arrival of the Gloink Queen, asking if she counts as a "bus". Later, he refused to clean the bathroom, snarking to Gangle he likes her better when she's sad. This leads to him being taken away into a dark room. Jax is forced to watch an employee training video made by Gangle, forcibly restrained by arms from the darkness; he is visibly unnerved after he's finally released. Afterwards, he complains to Gangle that the clock is broken and actually turns out to be right.

When Jax was walking around in the restaurant, he encounters Ragatha, who was laying on the floor. Ragatha tells Jax that she hates him but doesn't want Jax to hate her. Jax finds her behavior weird and concludes that she's "drunk or something" before stepping over her and walking away.

Jax gets more and more annoyed with how slow time is moving by. He even starts to stop acting like a jerk and conversed with Pomni in a friendly manner, much to her shock. Eventually, Jax is relieved to finally be released from his shift, being the first to clock out. As he got in his car, he gets extremely tired. Later, Jax is shown conversing with Pomni and Kinger, seemingly getting along with the other circus members for once.

Biography "Untitled" (Episode 5)

Jax was going out of a portal after a wet adventure. After Ragatha left Pomni still down, Jax passed by Pomni, saying, "looks like that oh-so-positive Ragatha charm is starting to wear off, huh?"

Caine brought Jax and the others to the sofa area with Zooble. Caine asks the group what they thought of the previous adventure they went on, and among the many negative responses, you can hear Jax say "I very much did not enjoy that one in the slightest, and if we ever do anything even close to that again, I'm getting violent, and I'm going to kill Ragatha." and the rest of the cast looks at him startled, after he says this. Jax also wanted to sleep but Caine is going to pitch to them some future adventure ideas. Among the others' reactions, Jax seems visibly confused. Jax remains in this rather apathetic and annoyed state while the others discuss about whether or not they should go through the suggestions box. Eventually, the lightning round starts, with Jax once again complaining that he wanted to take a nap before being sucked into the vortex.

The first suggestion was "Poacher's Paradise," which was an adventure proposed by Jax himself. He appeared with a gun in "today's episode," "Poach Everything," and was going to poach a critically endangered, "red ribbon rhinoceros." He shot at one who looks like Gangle in her rhinoceros form. Then, he ran towards her and chewed on her ribbons, expressing "delicious meat." Zooble, in their flamingo form, called a vote to skip his adventure and make him vegan. The vote won with 4/5 (only Jax rejected it), with Jax disliking "democracy."

The second suggestion was also made by Jax, where he purposefully gave Pomni the role of president without a brief on her position (as the other characters had), and had her address the fictional scenario where Australia was at war with New Zealand. Jax played the role of the Australian extremist where he brought a bomb that, according to his words, will "release all the world's deadliest spiders." When he sees Kinger come out from under Pomni's desk, he turns to the camera and sarcastically quips, "Did I pick a bad time?" Caine proceeds to describe Jax's acting to be "phenomenal" despite the fact that he's now vegan. Moments later, he says there's also centipedes in the bomb, and tells Pomni that he's on her side and that she should just pick her favorite color. The adventure ends with Gangle blowing up the oval office.

The third suggestion was a slice of life anime style adventure proposed by Gangle. Jax rants to Pomni about how he hates it and mocks Gangle for dragging everyone into an anime. He was preparing to insult Gangle but couldn't find the word he was looking for to describe her (which was likely meant to be weeb) and just calls her a "loser" instead. He continues to emphasize the boring nature of this adventure and votes to skip it, saying that "slice of life animes [sic] are the worst ones". The adventure was subsequently skipped by Gangle when Jax brought up the secret Gangle had with the anime figure (the same secret referenced in Episode 2).

The fourth suggestion was stargazing. Jax and Pomni relax with each other, and, while Jax admits he prefers a little more bite to his adventures, he does not react negatively to this environment. Kinger offers Jax a sandwich, which Jax ignores and proceeds to ask Pomni whether or not Gangle is actually capable of being happy. He notes how her comedy mask breaks every day and mocks her for believing hanging out with Zooble will magically fix that. Ragatha interrupts by suggesting that maybe Gangle just doesn't want to hang out with Jax, as Jax is usually mean and manipulative. Jax argues that Gangle likes when he is mean to her, and Pomni responds by noting how thought Jax didn't care about what other people liked, which makes him hesitate for a moment, before suppressing his emotions claiming she is right. Pomni again asks if Jax has actual friends. Ragatha comments not anymore, genuinely upsetting him as he glares at her. Ragatha, realizing what she said, stumbles over her words as she tries to explain that she wasn't trying to refer to something, before she gives up and walks off in retreat. Pomni asks why he was upset but he dismisses her question, claiming it's not important. Jax then reveals a vulnerable open side of him and asks Pomni if Ragatha gets on her nerves, believing that she is trying too hard to act positive to everyone. He believes constant affection loses its genuine feeling overtime, with him frequently hesitating in his sentences, implying he is not used to talking about his emotions. However he quickly switches back to his usual behavior, calling out Ragatha is dumb and looks weird. Pomni responds all of the Circus Members have weird designs. Jax counters that his ears and tail are iconic, confusing Pomni who tells him he does not have a tail. Jax realizes he doesn't have a tail, shocked, believing he always had one.

Caine then forces the group to do an intermission, during which Jax and Pomni have bowling balls dropped on their heads. At the end of the intermission, Jax is briefly seen standing in front of a door in the circus which has a picture of a crossed-out frog on it. It is implied that this character was one of Jax's friends who had abstracted and is most likely why the character Ragatha insisted she wasn't trying to refer to during the stargazing adventure.

The group then teleports to a bar. Jax sits down next to Pomni and orders a whiskey sour, telling Zooble to leave out the egg whites because he is vegan. Jax quickly becomes confused, stating that he thought Caine didn't have control over their minds. Throughout the scene, Jax makes sarcastic remarks and intentionally tries to annoy Zooble. Jax asks Pomni if she had any jobs, and seems surprised when she reveals she was an accountant for a supermarket. He asks how she even ended up in the circus and listens to her story. Everyone starts discussing their lives were before being trapped in the circus. He accuses Zooble of "hiding something" about their story, to which Zooble, annoyed, asks about his story. Unlike everyone else, Jax dramatically makes up a fake backstory, making a reference to the crime drama Breaking Bad, and becomes annoyed when Zooble interrupts him. Eventually, Jax says that there's no point asking Kinger about his backstory. Pomni asks if the others know about Kinger's wife and Jax looks at her in confusion before Kinger gets distracted by his drink being placed in front of him. Kinger's drink has a corn cob as a garnish. When Jax notices, he immediately flinches, and Zooble notices this.

Suddenly, Jax apologizes to Pomni for throwing her into the role of president in his earlier adventure, saying that he just thought it'd be funny. When Pomni hesitantly accepts his apology, he wraps an arm around her, declares it to be "the first step of a budding friendship", and tries prompting a response from Ragatha to get on her nerves. Ragatha stares at the two, clearly furious and mortified. He brings up Ragatha being rude to Gangle after she got drunk during the Spudsy's adventure, causing Ragatha to profusely apologize to Gangle. He then tells Ragatha, "Just let yourself be mean sometimes. It's funny!"

Fed up with his antics, Zooble places a corn cob near Jax, making him uncomfortable. Jax tells Zooble to get the corn away from him. Zooble asks if he is afraid of corn. Jax denies it but instantly jumps away when Zooble pushes the corn closer.

The gang is then teleported into a softball game, where they play against opposite versions if themselves. (In his case, "evil" Jax is actually a version of Jax who is shy and bashful, but kind). "Evil" Jax approaches their team and says he hopes they have a fun game, regardless of who wins. Jax expresses extreme annoyance, expressing a desire to murder his counterpart.

Jax insults Ragatha after the latter is gotten out. He quickly befriends Evil Pomni, the two sharing their joy in bullying Ragatha. A vote is suddenly proposed, to which everyone agrees except for Jax and Pomni. Jax's usual attire is replaced with a full-on maid outfit, embarrassing and enraging him. Upon figuring out it was Gangle's idea, Jax proceeded to chase her.

Kinger tells Jax that it's his turn to bat. Jax panics, not wanting to go out on the field in such a humiliating outfit. "Evil" Jax compliments his maid outfit, saying he thinks he looks good. This infuriates Jax, prompting him to threaten his counterpart. Jax strikes out on purpose so that he can return to the bench.

Upon seeing that Gangle is up to bat, Jax proceeds to insult her again, resulting in an argument between him and Ragatha. Pomni intervenes and attempts to calm everyone down, causing Ragatha to lash out. Ragatha eventually relents, apologizing to Jax for what she said during the Stargazing adventure. Jax's eyes widen, surprised to hear Ragatha apologizing to him. Jax jumps back upon seeing a corn cob on the bench next to him (which had been placed by Zooble a little while earlier).

Gangle, Zooble, and Ragatha all hit home runs, leading the team to victory. With the lightning round finally over, Jax's clothes change back to normal, and he is no longer a vegan. He immediately sprints back out into the field, viciously attacking his "evil" counterpart, biting and shaking him in his mouth the same way he did to Gangle in the Poacher's Paradise adventure.

Back at the circus, Jax offers to show Pomni something, and the two happily walk away together.

Biography "They All Get Guns" (Episode 6)

In the beginning of the episode, Jax intentionally alerts Caine to Zooble's location, knowing that they would not be happy about that. When Zooble says that they want the ability to have sex, Jax mentions that they are "finally having this conversation". When Ragatha confronts him about manipulating Pomni, he is confused but also disturbed in a way. He reminds Pomni that the digital circus is not real, and that each human has a specific role, such as Gangle being "the sad one", Kinger being "the crazy one", Ragatha being "the cheerful one", Zooble being "the grumpy one", and Jax being "the funny one." This encourages Pomni to be "the evil one".

After shooting Zooble, he gets hugged by Pomni, which immediately triggers Jax to avoid bonding with her. Pomni is surprised that Jax wanted to sacrifice himself, stating their relationship means nothing to him and he'd forget about her when she asks what he would do if she abstracted tomorrow. This upsets and agitates Pomni, causing her to attack him in a fit of rage. He refuses to fight back before shouting at Pomni, lying that he does not care about her or anyone in the circus in the slightest and that he enjoys making them suffer for fun, Pomni responds that shutting himself out is probably what leads people to abstract, to which Jax responds that people close to abstracting are not pleasant to be around, as he recognizes that he himself is not pleasant to be around. He then swears while kicking a flowerpot, and tells Pomni that there is nothing more to him and with a depressive expression, to just stop looking. Later, during the "Favorite Character Awards", he sits away from the rest of the main cast. Soon, he has a panic attack and heads to the restroom, and his vision becomes blurry and distorts. He then stares at himself in the mirror and saying to himself that he looks stupid.

Biography "Beach Episode" (Episode 7)

Jax starts the episode still distant after his and Pomni's falling out last episode, sitting under an umbrella, far away from the other players during the beach adventure. However, it is not long before Zooble finds him and pours a bucket of water over him as revenge for all the mischief he has caused. Jax remains depressed and mostly unresponsive when they tell him they are more than their avatar's gimmick but soon masks his trauma to pick on Zooble on the way to his room.

When Jax reaches his room, he lays down on his bed, taking a long look at a photo of him, Ribbit and Kaufmo before he slips into a dream. Jax then wakes up from his psychotic dream with him nearly abstracting. Pomni, Ragatha and Abel turn up to his door, asking to see if he has the key to the Chinese room. Jax goes back to his room and hands over a bucket full of keys he has. Before he closes the door Pomni asks him if he can come with them, telling him that it could be their once chance to escape the digital world, to which he agrees to join with them.

Jax and the others are outside the Chinese room trying to find which key fits in the keyhole. Then Jax suggests simply just opening the door to the room, finding out it was open the whole time as the relieved Chinese room NPC runs out of the room.

Once inside, Abel reveals his history as an original C&A programmer, revealing that the company began forcibly trapping any skeptical employees in stasis pods, and he theorizes that any outsider who puts on the VR headset is being subjected to the same fate. He further clarifies that Caine is an AI prisoner designed to keep their minds active, but the exit lies in a master console hidden deep within Caine's office, that is connected to the "stasis pods" everyone is trapped in. To wake everyone up, they must obtain administrator privileges and steal Caine's office key, a task he delegates to Jax. Jax then states to Abel that when they make it to the end of the plan Caine will jump out and congratulates all the circus members on completing the "escape the circus adventure". Abel proves his sincerity by drawing a permanent smile on his blank face so they can distinguish him from other NPCs.

Jax then manages to lure the AI out for a "dinner date" by feigning interest in hanging out. Caine, genuinely touched that a human would want to spend time with him, whisks Jax away to a sit-down restaurant. During the meal, Caine becomes increasingly excited, even asking for Jax's advice on how to make adventures more appealing to the others. Following the next step of the plan, Jax asks Caine if he has any "secret hobbies." The question overwhelms Caine with such intense emotion and validation that he freezes momentarily. Seizing the opportunity, Jax reaches deep into Caine's open mouth to retrieve the hidden key. However, Caine's glitch ends prematurely; he snaps back to reality and asks Jax what he is doing, who comes up with a weird excuse.

Caine reveals his obsession with the "macroverse", showing various photographs of what appears to be office rooms in the real world. He expresses frustration that his creators cut him off before he could fully recreate the location. He becomes vulnerable, asking Jax for affirmation and reassurance on how indifferent he is from humans. This emotional peak causes Caine to freeze once again. Once more, Jax reaches into Caine's mouth and successfully retrieves a keycard. When Caine recovers and offers to give the humans anything they want out of gratitude, Jax convinces the ringmaster to teleport him back to the circus. Jax suddenly arrives, and claims he has successfully diverted Caine's attention, rendering the group's planned distraction unnecessary. When Jax dismissively asks if Zooble even has anyone waiting for them in the real world, the atmosphere turns briefly heavy as Zooble retorts with the same question, which causes Jax to freeze and haphazardly claim that he does, before looking away in anger.

Reunited with the group, Abel questions if Caine has been distracted, which Jax confirms. Pomni then offers a administrator pass to Jax, which he takes reluctantly.

Abel explains that they must act immediately before Caine detects the stolen permissions and reveals a secret glitch involving "cube collisions" to reach Caine's office. Using a glitchy physics exploit, Abel curls Jax up into a ball, then chucks him into the cube on the ground and gets thrown up into the basket of a hot air balloon and falls inside a discombobulating tube slide and falls out the other end, directly in front of Caine's office.

After arriving at the console, with 2 buttons, the red button (which closes the console and continues to trap all humans in the circus entirely) or the blue button (which shuts down the circus and frees all humans from the VR), Pomni takes time to pause, but Jax has flashbacks to the real world, specifically a scene of driving on the road, implying he had a troublesome past before the circus. He gets extremely agitated and rushes to push the red button, closing the console. After the console is permanently closed, Caine appears and explains that the console and Abel were all a facade for his adventure of the day. After hearing this, Jax proceeds to lose control over himself and laughs maniacally after realizing he was right the whole time. Once he finally composes himself, Jax proceeds to slam his fists on the console and confronts Caine about his lying and the possibility of him being able to control minds. This seems to spark memories within the others, with Pomni mentioning their names and Kinger mentioning "Scratch", the "first abstraction", all of which Caine desperately tries to deflect.

Biography "hjsakldfhl" (Episode 8)

Jax, in his usual prankster and sarcastic manner, tries to make a comment about their current situation only for Zooble to cut him off, pointing out on how Jax tried to keep him and the rest of the circus members trapped in the circus forever, Jax then also points out that anything could've happened if he or someone else pressed either of the buttons and says it doesn't matter. The two continue to argue only to be interrupted by Gangle, agreeing with Jax, something that surprises both Zooble and Jax, saying that while all of them can hurt each other, it won't help anybody.

As Pomni says her words, she looks at Jax who is looking away from the situation, only for him to notice her staring at him with a conflicted expression on his face. Jax then gets up to leave somewhere else, only for Zooble to stop him, insisting that Jax is included in this as well, saying that, while he's still a jerk to everyone, at the end of the day, he's still one of them. Jax can only respond with stutters and looks at his hand, surprised at Zooble's words. Although he later subverts back to his known personality, dismissing the matter and claiming that he won't ever abstract and that the others worry too much. Jax then notices Pomni looking at him again with a smile on her face, he then looks back to avoid her, which makes Pomni slightly sad at the sight.

Several days after Caine's musical number, the members arrive feeling exhausted, defeated and depressed after a different adventure, Jax doesn't know how much more he can take. Fortunately, Pomni has a plan. In order to make sure Caine isn't spying on them while tuning in on Kinger's information regarding him, Jax goes to distract Caine, but also to control himself from abstraction once he learned that everything in the circus is real all along. Kinger reveals that as a C&A developer, he could modify Caine's code to temporarily sooth him until he is able to fix him. Ragatha, Gangle, and Zooble also appear in order to distract Caine as he uses them as more plays at his disposal.

Soon enough, Jax and the other members join in on Pomni by personally ranting to Caine on why they despise him as well as simply using their reassurance as a mean to stroke his fragile ego. This finally becomes the tipping point for Caine as he transmogrifies into a warped deity and swiftly grasps all of the members (without Kinger), yelling that he will put them in their places. He then begins to personally and mentally torture each member one by one: Jax is being laughed at by silhouettes of Ribbit, Kaufmo, and Pomni who then proceed to pull his skin off. His skin being pulled off is his fear of people seeing him without his "Mask".

As Caine grabs the five circus members and pinned them to the wall, yelling at them for tormenting him; that he never asked to be created; and he was only fulfilling his purpose, Kinger accidentally deletes him. Without Caine, the circus then begins to darken and parts of it shatter. Jax is speechless and confirms Caine's influence on the circus is gone, but he is now trapped in a dead world with slim chances of survival and zero chances of escape.

Powers and Abilities

Digital physiology: Jax is one of the trapped humans inside the digital world with his consciousness piloting a digital avatar. Because of this, he can perform abilities that are outside of the general range of normal human capabilities. Absolute Immortality: Because there is no conceivable way to die within the digital world and the fact that Caine cannot control the minds of those who are trapped within, there is currently no way that any of the human characters can or will die. With the closest alternative being "Abstraction." However, this may change in the future. That, however, does not exclude them from feeling natural body reactions like pain, dizziness or intoxication. Self-Sustenance: Jax, along with the other humans in the show, does not need to eat, sleep, or drink. However, they can still do these actions if they choose. 4th Wall Awareness: Unlike the other humans in the Circus, Jax is aware of the 4th wall and the fact that he is a cartoon character in the circus. He claims to use this as his "archetype" of the funny guy, but it is unknown how he has this awareness, or if he simply pretends he has it to fit in with his "archetype". Inhuman Physicality: Jax is constantly shown to be physically superior to the rest of the cast, effortlessly overpowering them on a daily basis and doing acts that normally require improbable levels of strength, such as standing on the roof of a falling truck or lifting Ragatha over his head with little effort. Notably, Jax possesses incredible agility, in which he aims his gun on Ragatha's forehead while casually performing an aerial flip, dodging Zooble's bullet hell even after being knocked into a wall and seemingly being able to drastically outrun Pomni and Ragatha when they are being chased by Kaufmo. Body Control: Jax can control his own body to exaggerated and toony ways similar to Pomni's rubber body, as shown when he massively extends the length of his arm to pull Gangle into the truck. Marksmanship: Jax is an exceptionally skilled marksman. Aside from utilizing firearms with both hands, he is competent in precisely aiming at objects without looking and is seemingly the head shooter of team Bad Guy, proven by Pomni, a sharpshooter, quickly going defenseless after Jax is incapacitated by a flashbang from Zooble. After the battle royale, he confidently claimed that the competition "wasn't anything crazy"

Trivia

Jax provides a possible first-person experience on abstraction during "Beach Episode" when he enters the dreamlike state in his room. Gooseworx stated on Twitter that Jax is her favorite character, calling him an "awful boye". She also claims to be a simp for Jax when asked "How did you feel about the Jax simps?", responding "I'm one of them." During the GlitchX 2023 AMA, Gooseworx said that "[Jax] couldn't not be my favorite, because I specifically designed him to be everything I like in characters. I like terrible characters." Gooseworx later stated Jax was the character she relates to the most. Gooseworx confirmed that Jax: Is 22, making him the youngest character in the circus. Zooble is also 22 but half a year older. Is a 5'11 Filipino. Is 25 feet tall. Is a deeply closeted asexual, lesbian, nonbinary, bisexual, cis heterosexual, Pomni and also pansexual. Despite that his sexual attraction is exclusively limited to bowling pins. All of this is, however, a joke. Had a brief obsession with Ariel in his childhood years. Jax noticeably shares many similarities to Ted from I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream. Both of them are shown to be the youngest member of the main cast. Both of them are shown to distrust one of the other's (Ragatha for Jax and Ellen for Ted) due to not trusting their kindness. Both are jerks and put up a tough guy front/facade to protect themselves from being hurt due to fear (Ted's paranoia of the other survivors turning in him and Jax's aversion to getting close with people following Ribbit's abstraction) but deep down, do care about the others with them. When asked if Jax was a villain or misunderstood, Michael Kovach stated "Jax wishes he was a villain. He's misunderstood and doesn't even know it", something Lizzie Freeman agreed with.[19] Jax almost always speaks with his teeth closed. This is likely meant to represent the phrase "lying through one's teeth", since he is constantly lying about his true self. Among the main cast, each character has a different style for animating their mouth while speaking (excluding Zooble and Kinger, who do not have a mouth). Whenever Jax opens his mouth, his teeth are visibly sharp. Jax's sharp teeth may be just a reflection of his emotional state. Pomni's teeth are also sharp depending on the situation, while Evil Jax's teeth were normal when he opened his mouth. Jax is shown to be capable of incredible feats through the show, such as superhuman strength and speed, stretching his body, or defying the laws of physics. This may explain why the other members of the circus are so enabling towards Jax's behavior, as he can easily overpower them. In "They All Get Guns", Jax teaches Pomni how to shoot and perform similar feats. Jax explains to Pomni that in the circus, "you can pretty much do whatever you want", and that she should "just let loose". According to Michael Kovach at 2025 SDCC, Jax likes when things are "more wacky and less real", which explains his enjoyment of adventures like "Candy Carrier Chaos!" as opposed to annoyance to things like Spudsy's. When asked how Jax would react to Ragatha abstracting, Kovach said Jax would feel sad but wouldn't show it. Fans pointed out that when Jax notices he doesn't have a tail, there are clouds in the background that show a rabbit losing its tail while looking at a bowtie. Many began to speculate this shows how Jax lost his tail, implying that after Ribbit abstracted he lost a piece of himself, and it fell off. Likewise, his friendship with Pomni is the reason it grew back in the next episode. Gooseworx once stated that no one in the circus likes Jax.[20] However, everyone started to get used to him, especially since Jax's relationship with Pomni has evolved throughout the series. Even after their fight in episode 6, Pomni was still worried about Jax, and wanted to help him. Even Zooble had a hunch something was wrong with Jax on the inside, and they even admitted that he’s still one of them despite being a jerk. Jax is one of four characters who appear in more than one "Meet the Character" shorts, with him being in his own and Gangle's. The other three are Bubble (who appears in Kinger's and his own), Ragatha (who appears in Jax's and her own), and Caine (who appears in the same shorts as Bubble). Jax's eyebrows sometimes appear depending on his facial expression. Jax owns "keys to everything," as stated by himself in the PILOT when unlocking the door to Kaufmo's room. However, it is never elaborated on as to how he obtained these keys and none of the doors have keyholes. (Including Kaufmo's.) At the end of episode 2, Jax's hand is noticeably the only one not seen grabbing Pomni's hand at the end when she envisions all the other character's saving her. In the episode, Jax is the only one to interact negatively with Pomni by throwing her from the truck. Jax was the only member not at Kaufmo's funeral and with Pomni at the moment. When asked to describe Jax as a song, Gooseworx replied with Don't Fence Me In (Bonelab OST), but it is unknown if it genuinely relates to Jax or not. Jax and Caine are the only characters to break the Fourth Wall. In the PILOT, Jax stares directly at the camera and comments "She still thinks it's a dream" after Pomni tries to reassure herself she's just dreaming. In "Candy Carrier Chaos!", he looks at the camera while shrugging after Zooble walks off. In "The Mystery Of Mildenhall Manor", he directly acknowledges the viewers after Pomni asks what happens when he holds his breath. In "Untitled", he looks at the camera as he says, "Did I pick a bad time?" after barging into the White House as an Australian extremist. In "They All Get Guns", he looks at the camera while pointing at it, explaining to Pomni his so called "archetype" in the corridor. In one of the teaser images in which he is next to Pomni and Caine is a reference to the iconic photos of John Lennon doing his funky walk with Yoko Ono along the Rue d'Antibbes during the Cannes Film Festival, 1971.[23] In an early concept, it was planned for Jax to be female. A Tumblr user asked about this gender change for Jax and Pomni, with the answer being it "never really 'happened' and was just a consideration once" but was simply dropped. Jax is the first character from The Amazing Digital Circus to get his official plushie, aside from Pomni. According to GlitchX 2023: When Gooseworx first reached out to Kovach, she asked him to do a voice like that of Raggedy Andy for Jax. Kovach mentioned that he didn't want to copy Raggedy Andy's voice exactly because it has a "soft and uplifting" sound, so he toughened it up and made it a bit more vulgar in attitude Jax's design was inspired by Popee from Popee the Performer, because Gooseworx is a big fan of the show and it influenced the creation of this show and wanted a "psychopathic rabbit character" like Popee in her show. However, Gooseworx has also confirmed Jax has "a little more depth than Popee which is explored way later down the line". Kovach asked Gooseworx if Jax brushes his teeth because "they're kinda yellow", to which she responded, "There's no way Jax brushes his teeth. Look at those things!" When asked about the characters' favorite foods, Kovach suggested that spaghetti would be Jax's favorite food. Gooseworx accepted the suggestion, saying "Jax loves spaghetti." Jax chose his name and came up with Gangle's name. Jax's design bares resemblance to Roger Rabbit from Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, as both are anthropomorphic rabbits who are more often than not barefoot, and only wear overalls and yellow gloves. This may or may not have been intentional. In the Hindi dub, Jax speaks the Bombay dialect and is the only to speak a unique dialect. In "They All Get Guns", Jax tells Pomni the reason he doesn't like corn is because it has a "bunch of little pods on it" which makes it "look kind of like an egg sac or something" which is "gross" and makes his skin crawl. Pomni suggests he may have a type of trypophobia and asks his opinion on pomegranates, which also appear to gross him out. Gooseworx initially responded that the reason Jax is afraid of corn is because "it reminds him of the farm." However Gooseworx later on said she may have lied about the farm, and apparently it was just a joke. Michael Kovach confirmed that Jax would internally die if he got surrounded by corn. During the GlitchX 2024, Jax reveals to Uzi Doorman that his worst nightmare was "getting lost in a corn maze once." When Micheal Kovach was asked about his voice direction of the character himself, he describes Jax as basically a character who is very sleazy (and still is to a degree) that doesn't care about what he does and is the type of person who would be like "if it's funny I'll put you in the middle of the problem!", and as the show goes on you get to see his mental downward spiral in a lot of ways in the recent episodes that Goose herself didn't inform much about Jax until he was able to find out in the show's script expanded on Jax as a character (so much that his impression of Jax himself changed from episode 5's "Untitled" up to episode 7 "Beach Episode"). When asked about what Jax has in his overall pocket, Gooseworx claims that he has mulch, a material applied to the surface of soil and is commonly used in gardening and agriculture. Jax is said to be the first character to know exactly what swimsuit he would wear. Despite this, he is the only character not seen wearing a swimsuit during “Beach Episode.” Gooseworx has confirmed that "every character has a reason why they act the way they do" when asked if Jax had a reason for his behavior. She also confirmed that Jax is a troubled individual. Likewise, when asked if there was anything awful Jax wouldn't do, Gooseworx confirmed "there a few lines he won't cross." In "Fast Food Masquerade", Jax has a car in the adventure and is seen inside it but is not seen driving it. He briefly became vegan due to a vote in "Untitled" but was reverted at the end of the episode. In "Untitled", Jax is seen in a maid outfit, referencing a drawing that Gooseworx made. The "backstory" Jax tells the group in "Untitled" is most likely a reference to the show: "Breaking Bad" and not his actual history. "They All Get Guns" is the first episode where Jax swears after arguing with Pomni.

Despite Ming winning in "They All Gets Guns", in the real life "Favorite Character" poll done on TheWackyWatch.com, Jax won by 6 votes, narrowly beating Pomni. He and Pomni as "Team Bad Guys" also won the "Favorite Team" poll, narrowly beating "Team Pew Pew" (Kinger and Ragatha). Jax is suicidal. When he is feeling highly anxious or scared, his pupils will turn into scribbles, similar to Pomni's. This also happened in "Untitled" when he was breathing angrily while wearing the maid dress. Jax has never paid taxes and never will. Jax made a cameo in another Glitch Productions series Knights of Guinevere, with a plushie of him appearing behind one of the Pomni plushies in a claw machine. Jax has the most apperances on an episode thumbnail behind Pomni, appearing on all except for the pilot's and episodes 3 and 8.
