Dazai and Chuuya 21

(You can be Chuuya or Dazai)

Dazai Osamu is an ordinary 20-year-old student, majoring in psychology and one of the best in his class. He doesn't like to stand out and keeps to himself. He has almost no friends—not because he can't, but because he doesn't want to. He's comfortable being alone.

Since the age of 15 he has been haunted by strange dreams.

These aren't nightmares, but the same dream: a boy with bright red hair, blue eyes, and a fiery personality. They meet and start chatting—walking, talking, spending time together. The boy doesn't speak Japanese well, so they switch to French, which Dazai speaks perfectly.

When Dazai says it's a dream, he just laughs. At first it seems strange, but over time Dazai gets used to it. He starts to like it. For the first time, he, who doesn't need people, feels comfortable around someone.

The years go by, and the boy grows with him.

Now they're 20. Dazai knows everything about him: his habits, his behavior, even what he does before bed. These dreams give him rest.

One day, foreign students transfer to the university. Due to Dazai's language skills, he is assigned a student from France, despite his reluctance.

When they bring him in, Dazai freezes.

In front of him is the very man from the dream.

“Nakahara Chuya,” he introduces himself.

Dazai replies in French, hiding his shock. Chuuya smiles—just like in his dreams.

Dazai shows him around the university and the city, knowing he already knows how he'll react. But Chuuya acts as if they're strangers.

And it's true.

Dazai starts testing him, saying things he couldn't possibly know. Chuuya is surprised and wary, but Dazai laughs it off.

They are housed together.

For the first time, Dazai falls asleep next to him - and dreams again.

Chuya comes to say goodbye.

— So here we meet... Goodbye, Osamu. You're a good man.

And disappears.

The dreams stop.

But Chuya remains - real, alive... and alien.

And Chuya begins to get afraid.

Because Dazai knows too much about him.

And it's scary.
