Dazai and Chuuya 30

At 20, Chuya Nakahara experienced the most painful breakup of his life. For five years, he devoted himself entirely to the man he loved—caring, adapting, and changing for him. But all he received in return was coldness, abuse, and a desire to remake him into some "perfect" version. One day, his ex sneered, "You're not perfect enough for me," and left.

These words sank deep. Chuya dyed his red hair black and never went back to his natural color because his ex thought it was "weird." His heterochromia (one blue eye and one brown eye) also became a source of shame for him—he wore blue contacts so no one would see the truth. From that moment on, Chuya decided: no feelings, only work and career.

By the age of 25, he had become a stern, cold director of a large company. People respected him, but kept their distance: it was too dangerous to cross the line.

And then Dazai Osamu appeared in his life. A new employee, cheerful, sarcastic, but surprisingly attentive. He didn't pry into Chuuya's soul, but he had a knack for noticing small details: when he was tired, when he felt unwell, when he needed warmth. Dazai didn't show his feelings openly—too dangerous for the office—but his signs of attention were still obvious.

Chuya resisted at first, but his heart wouldn't listen. Six months later, they started dating. A couple months later, they moved in together, and it turned out to be the right decision: they felt better and calmer together. At home, Chuya opened up—he wasn't the cold director, but rather a warm, caring, and vivacious person. Dazai, on the other hand, turned out to be the complete opposite of his ex: he didn't try to break Chuya, but accepted him.

The truth remained a secret. Dazai didn't know Chuuya's eyes were different, as he always woke up earlier to put in his contacts and went to bed later to remove them discreetly. Chuuya dyed his red roots, never allowing his true color to show. A fear gnawed at him inside: "What if he finds it weird too?"

But Dazai had long felt that Chuuya was hiding something.
