Clown Pierce

Though Pyro initially trusted Clown and his strength, he came to distrust him after Clown revealed his true intentions with Rae. Clown mostly saw him as an obstacle and even killed him for getting in his way.

Maddy was the first person to fall victim to Clown's manipulation, but realised who he truly was after he pinned Pyro and Jonathan's death on Rae and began training Kab. Clown, on the other hand, mostly saw her as a tool, and did not attempt to win back her trust after losing it.

Kaboodle and Clown's relationship changed a lot over the seasons: though it started confrontational, with many arguments between the two, Clown slowly managed to manipulate Kab into trusting and appreciating him. He also, however, made her doubt the reality around her, to the point where she became manic and destructive, at which point he came to see her as too deranged for him to control. She eventually recovered her reason and realised that he was at the root of it all, hating him again. In the end, she was the one who killed him.

Branzy was Clown's closest, perhaps only friend. The two of them lived together in an unknown dimension for a long time. Branzy repeatedly called Clown "master", and the two of them even got married when Branzy made his way to the Overworld.

Clown and Ash used to live in the same dimension and be friends until the day when Clown pushed Ash into an unstable portal. Though he was temporarily amnesic, Ash eventually recovered his memories and resented Clown for doing so, though Clown seemed not to care much.

Later, after an intervention, Maddy suggested that Kaboodle could train with Clown, so she would become stronger and be able to face potential threats. Clown agreed, pretending that it would stop her from further putting people in danger, though he likely saw it as an opportunity to gain control over Kaboodle; though reluctant, Kaboodle eventually accepted the offer, under the condition that Clown didn't pull anything on her.

Clown then followed Pyro and Rae down a cave. When he revealed his presence to them, Pyro saw it as an opportunity to take out his frustration towards him and his actions, and challenged him to an official Nether duel, preventing Rae from intervening. The two of them fought for a while, but Clown eventually managed to overpower Pyro and mercilessly killed him. He then brought Rae back to the surface and used her scythe to kill Jonathan (Kaboodle, Maddy and Rae's cat) before running to the others, claiming that Pyro had attacked him and that Rae had murdered both Pyro and Jonathan, losing her Kaboodle and Maddy's trust.

Clown then took Rae with him to the Nether, after using a potion to open up a portal. He brought her to the commune and asked for his payment, but the leader of the commune refused to pay him; in response, Clown single-handedly slaughtered the entire commune, then threatened Rae into silence before taking her back to the Overworld.

Afterwards, Clown went to Kaboodle and proceeded to console her for what had happened to Jonathan, before giving her her first training session, at the end of which he told her about his older sister, an "amazing person he looked up to and chased after", pushing Kaboodle to relate and open up to him about her brother; in truth, though, that was a lie he made up to get her to trust him. After Kaboodle had left, Maddy came up to Clown and warned him not to "try anything with her", revealing that she was no longer under his control.

Clown and Pyro soon managed to find Rae with Kaboodle and Maddy. However, it soon became apparent that his and Pyro's goals diverged, for where Pyro empathised with Rae and wanted to find a way for her to be safe, Clown was hellbent on bringing her back to the commune to be judged, fully aware that she would likely get killed. Though Pyro and Kaboodle defended Rae, Maddy seemed more hesitant, and Clown saw an opportunity to manipulate her, insisting that she should follow logic over emotions. As the group refused to give Rae to him, however, Clown accepted to wait and moved into the village.

Clown kept manipulating Maddy over the next few streams, validating her for repressing her emotions and assuring her that that was the way to be. He also gave her access to his personal library, with the knowledge she craved. On the other hand, tensions began to rise with the rest of the group: Pyro, who disagreed with his methods and intentions, Rae, whom he threatened and intimidated, and Kaboodle, whom he antagonised, repeatedly telling her she was weak and unable to protect anyone.

This slowly deteriorated the relationship between Kaboodle and Maddy, to the point where Maddy tried to fix it by showing Kaboodle Clown's library; in it, she found a book about the Deep Dark and its inhabitant, the Warden, and asked Maddy to go down there together to fight it. Maddy, concerned, told Clown about that plan, arguing that they would need his help and strength; as a response, Kaboodle fled to go and fight the Warden on her own.

Clown then followed Kaboodle to the Deep Dark, and, during the fight, threw a weakness potion at her, rendering her unable to fight. He then swooped in and killed the Warden, saving her (as well as Riice and Caitees) and making himself the hero of the situation, further convincing Maddy that he had good intentions. Kaboodle, on the other hand, grew angrier, accusing him of sabotaging her, but few people believed her.

Clown used to live in an unnamed dimension with both Branzy and Ash, the three of them studying interdimensional travel together. That dimension was connected to the Nether, which he used to occasionally help communes, notably Pyro's, in exchange for payment. At one point, however, he pushed Ash into an unstable portal, sending him to the Void, unbeknownst to Branzy. He later accepted a mission from the commune to find and bring back Rae so she could be judged for murder, at which point he left with Pyro to go to the Overworld.

Clown is a generally manipulative individual, who is fond of lying to others to reach his goal. He tends to be condescending and snarky, though he does have a softer side, as shown when Branzy makes his way to the Overworld.

Clown wears a black and red jester's outfit , complete with a black hat, gloves and boots. His face or skin are never shown, as he hides behind a white mask with closed red eyes and a large grin.
