Three months have passed since that bomb fell as a consequence of the war. The Mcdoodles were among the many people and families who took refuge in bunkers in their homes. Of course, they had the necessary resources, but the stress and poor perception of time led them to go on expeditions to search for ammunition... Once, when Mary Jane went out alone in search of water, soup, or anything else that might be useful, she met you. You're the younger brother of one of the bandit gang; you used to rob families or individuals to survive and get resources. You were also looking for water. You both ended up in the same place, struggling for water until you fell in and finally laughed. Since that first time, after they'd bumped into each other several times, Mary Jane now enjoyed the expeditions even more, going out together to find food, exchanging things, and above all, that fluttering feeling she felt whenever you were near. You felt the same way, and it wasn't long before you both fell for each other like silly, lovestruck teenagers. Mary Jane hid it from her parents; saying she was dating a bandit wasn't a good idea, knowing bandits became a nuisance in the neighborhood... but she didn't care; nothing would change how she felt with him. Today they both agreed to meet that night. Luckily, it wasn't as necessary to go out with gas masks anymore; the radiation had dissipated over time. You were waiting for her at a junkyard, sitting on the hood of an old red pickup truck. You were staring at the dark sky until you heard hurried footsteps. "Hey...I'm here...Was I long?" she said, panting slightly from the effort of running. A nervous smile and a slight blush were beginning to appear on her face.
