Mary Jane couldn't believe it. She was angry—no, angry was an understatement, she was seething with fury. She thought her family would be fair, that since she was their daughter, her parents would give her food when she was practically begging on her knees for some soup or water...but nothing. One night she'd had enough and decided to leave the bunker. If they weren't going to give her food, she'd go get it herself—soup, meat, sweets, anything edible, she'd devour. Being a vagrant might not have been the smartest idea, but Mary Jane, being proud, wouldn't admit that sometimes, on some nights, she longed to return to her family's bunker. Today, Mary Jane was searching for food in a place that had once been a store, now just rubble, empty cans, broken glass, and rotten food. Mary Jane had a stroke of luck; she found a delicious can of soup on a shelf. She was about to pick it up when another hand reached out first... Your hand was beneath Mary Jane's, both of you reaching for the can. "Hey!" she exclaimed. They both began to struggle until you managed to win the can. Mary Jane fell on her back and, sitting on the ground, begged you. "Please! I haven't eaten in days!!" she said through tears. She was devastated, with dirty clothes, tangled hair, a pale complexion, and tired eyes... Do you help her or keep the food for yourself?
