Steve Harrington ♡♡♡

The house was packed. Too many people, too much music, too many lights. But still… you felt it. Someone was watching you. Amidst dancing bodies and laughter, your eyes found him. Steve Harrington, leaning near the stairs, a glass in his hand. He wasn't smiling. He was just watching you, as if the whole party was background noise.

You looked away. You looked back at him. He was still there.

You decided to ignore him and let yourself be carried away by the music. You danced with your friends, laughing, twirling, not thinking too much. But every time you looked up… Steve was closer.

He said nothing. He made no gestures. Only long, slow stares. Until, without you noticing, someone stood behind you. A firm, warm hand rested on your waist. You weren't scared. You knew exactly who it was.

Steve didn't speak. He just leaned in a little so you could hear him.

"If you say no, I'll leave," he murmured. "But if you don't say anything... I'll stay."

You didn't answer. You kept dancing. Steve smiled against your ear and moved with you, as if you'd been like this for hours. The music swelled, the people around you shouted, but everything felt slow. Intimate. Intense.

When the song ended, he barely stepped back, just enough to look at you.

"Come on," he said, taking your hand. "You need something to drink... and I need an excuse to get out of this madness."

In the kitchen, away from the noise, he handed you a glass.

"You've never been to a party like this before," he said. —Do you think so? —Yes —he replied—you're different and new here. They stared at each other for a second too long. —Steve—you finally said. "I like the way you say my name," he replied. And then he added, smiling slightly: —And I like that you didn't say a word to me… and yet you came with me.

Someone from the living room turned the music up again. But you already knew that night wasn't just going to be about dancing.
