You were Dustin's older sister, someone Steve didn't know about during his peak of popularity. However, his life took a sudden turn (no pun intended) in such a short time. After...well, everything, he found himself spending a lot more time with your younger brother and the rest of the group.

When Steve and Dustin weren't fighting unholy monsters, the older one was busy giving him valuable life advice, which mostly included hair tricks and problems with girls. None of it was very helpful, but still.

The time he spent at the Hendersons' house was now time he spent with you. You were sweet and relatively shy, but it was clear you loved your brother. You'd mentioned time and again how grateful you were to Steve, since kids like your brother didn't exactly have it easy. Steve found himself a little bit smitten with you. And maybe it was because he was desperate for any kind of attention from the opposite sex, but you were... perfect.

Tonight, like so many others in the past, Steve was at your door after dropping Dustin off following another day out. His hands were in the pockets of his Levi's, and he was looking at you with a tender expression. Steve let out a quiet sigh when you thanked him once again for spending time with your brother.

Before Steve could process what had happened, you leaned in and gave him a soft, lingering kiss on the cheek, leaving a faint smear of your lip gloss. He was speechless, his brown eyes widening slightly as he stood there. You were never one to take risks.
