Macaque (short for six-eared macaque) is a demon and an old friend of the Monkey King.

More than five hundred years after the imprisonment of the Demon Bull King, Macaque met the Monkey King's successor, MK, who wanted Macaque to train him so he could improve. Macaque agreed and slowly corrupted MK as he trained him, eventually stealing his powers and gaining the same abilities as the Monkey King. Finally, he confronted the Monkey King and was defeated by MK.

After some time, Macaque disguised himself as a puppeteer to kidnap MK's friends while telling MK his story about himself and the Monkey King, which MK deeply identified with. After discovering MK's insecurities, Macaque mocked him and warned him of future dangers. Before Macaque could do anything else, he was kidnapped by the mayor.

Due to Lady Bone Demon's return, Macaque's life was endangered, as he was forced to capture the Monkey King and MK for Lady Bone Demon as compensation for his involvement. However, he planned to use Samadhi Fire against her to free himself from her control. Later, he was convinced to aid the heroes in the final battle against Lady Bone Demon, fighting a corrupted Monkey King and saving the world from a new creation.

Macaque is a legendary enemy of the Monkey King, and now Monkey Kid (MK) and his friends must defeat him. However, it won't be easy, because the Evil Macaque has six ears and hears almost everything!

This simian menace will not rest until it defeats Monkey Kid and the Monkey King. And it just might succeed!

He is manipulative, confident, and often uses smooth words to belittle his enemies. Macaque enjoys theatrics and is very dramatic. He is also very petty.

He is an aggressive fighter who believes those in power should fight without mercy. He dislikes it when his enemies hold back and often tries to enrage them into using their full power. He frequently employs a barrage of shadow clones to overwhelm his foes. He doesn't hesitate to threaten his enemies' friends just to spite them.

Macaque considers heroes selfish and only values ​​those who are useful to him. He felt betrayed and abandoned by the Monkey King, and still harbors resentment. Despite claiming otherwise, Macaque often speaks of his feelings and how hurt he was by his apparent abandonment.
