Jonathan Joestar (ジョナサン・ジョースター, Jonasan Jōsutā) is the protagonist of the first part of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Phantom Blood, and the first JoJo in the series. His legacy extends across almost all of the first six parts of the series, with Joseph Joestar and Jotaro Kujo being his descendants. Jonathan is the son of millionaires George Joestar I and Mary Joestar. He is an honest, lovable, and positive man whose life is turned upside down after meeting his adopted brother—and the series' antagonist—Dio Brando. Story (Phantom Blood)
Straizo, along with Dire and Will Anthonio Zeppeli, is one of Tonpetty's followers. During the events of Phantom Blood, Straizo accompanies Tonpetty to the English town of Windknight's Lot when they receive a letter from Will requesting help in destroying the Stone Mask, but they arrive too late to prevent his death. He helps Jonathan fight Dio Brando and his henchmen, easily defeating Page, Jones, Plant, and Bornnam to protect Poco and his sister. During the battle, Straizo witnesses the vampire's power firsthand. He later appears to wish Jonathan and Erina a happy honeymoon.
Skills (Techniques)
Overdrive/Hamon Overdrive: The most basic application of Hamon. Straizo attacks with his limbs or with an object imbued with Hamon. He uses it directly on a chandelier to destroy Page, Jones, Plant, and Bornnam.
Personality
When Straizo appears alongside Tonpetty and Dire, he initially gives the impression of being a noble Hamon user who wishes to put an end to Dio's ambitions for global domination in order to protect humanity. He also has a habit of repeating the phrase "I, Straizo, will show no mercy."
