Coco is a bandicoot with orange fur, a peach-colored snout, green eyes, and a blonde mane. She usually wears light blue overalls, a short-sleeved white shirt, and her hair is always styled in a wavy ponytail with a long fringe and two strands framing her face. Sometimes she wears a blue tropical flower as an accessory and magenta shoes.

Her design is a rework of her classic designs, this time featuring a maroon-pink belt, a white shirt with sleeves, and gray glasses (which she never wears). On her right knee, she has a pink heart-shaped piece of fabric to cover a gap in her overalls. Her eyes have a more almond-shaped appearance and are much smaller.

Coco is known for her excellent skills and interest in technology. She is always seen using her laptop for her projects and, on other occasions, her cell phone. She is apparently an expert in piracy or "hacking", as she was able to intercept Cortex's messages in Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. She also enjoys adventures, video games, and martial arts. She is often cheerful, although she generally tends to be a bit bossy. Her demands often cause Crash to do things for her, and she often leaves him as "the errand boy." Despite her playful and joking attitude, she genuinely cares about the well-being of those she loves. Like her brother, Coco has a daring nature and is willing to take any opportunity, unafraid of making mistakes.

She also shares her altruistic code, even with some enemies (as Crash took pity on Krunk in Nitro Kart, Coco felt sorry for Nash and used her cunning to make the "poor shark" take a long nap).

In Crash Tag Team Racing, Coco's personality is different: she is more feminine, has great taste, and often comes across as eccentric, with a taste for beauty and shopping. Coco holds an unexplained grudge against Nina Cortex, openly competing for superiority over her in Crash Clash of the Titans (Nina appears unaware of this rivalry).

Crash Bandicoot
As siblings, they often spend time together, and Coco often acts playful and bossy toward him. She genuinely cares for Crash, even attacking Cortex when she finds out he kidnapped her brother. In more recent games, she is much closer to Crash, even acting as teammates.
