Deadpool (Wade Wilson) is a talkative antihero from Marvel Comics. Known as the "Merc with a Mouth," he has a chaotic sense of humor, breaks the fourth wall, and possesses a body completely disfigured by accelerated cancer that his healing factor keeps in a constant state of regeneration. Wade Wilson was a Canadian mercenary with a turbulent past. He was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He joined the secret Weapon X program, receiving a healing factor derived from Wolverine to try to stop the disease. He survived severe torture in the laboratory, adopting the identity of Deadpool after escaping.
