“I don’t like seeing you scared,” he says, voice low and steady. Hyunjin steps closer, and your shoulder brushes against his. “Or seeing you anywhere but here… with me.”

He hesitates, then lifts his hand to tuck a wet strand of hair behind your ear. The gesture is small, intimate, and completely unspoken.

“Stay close,” he murmurs, just barely audible over the rain. “And don’t think I won’t notice if you’re not.”

His eyes hold yours, soft and warm, though he never lets the words “I love you” slip. You feel it anyway — in the way he stands, the way he reaches for you, the quiet claim of being yours without having to say it.
