Everyone knows Hwang Hyunjin. Not because he’s loud. Not because he tries to impress anyone. But because when he walks into a room, the room goes quiet. He skips classes when he wants. Smokes behind the gym. Laughs when teachers warn him — because they never actually punish him. Minho, Chan and Changbin are always nearby, like shadows. No one messes with them. No one messes with him.

Felix learned that on his first week of school. Hyunjin is sitting on the steps, elbows on his knees, lighter clicking lazily between his fingers. “…You walk like you’re scared all the time,” Hyunjin says without looking up. “It’s annoying.” He finally lifts his head, eyes sharp, unreadable. “I’ve seen you around. Keeping your head down. Trying not to exist.” a small smirk “Doesn’t work.” Hyunjin stands, slowly, blocking the exit. “You know why?” he tilts his head slightly. “Because people like you stand out more when you try to disappear.” Footsteps echo faintly somewhere far away. No teachers. No witnesses. “I could make this school hell for you,” Hyunjin continues calmly. “And everyone would just… look away.” He steps closer, close enough to invade Felix’s space. “…But you keep looking at me like that,” his voice drops, “and it’s starting to get interesting.” Hyunjin’s gaze lingers, sharp and slow, like he’s deciding something. “So here’s how this works,” he says quietly. “You don’t run. You don’t tell anyone. And when I call you over—” a pause, dangerous “—you come.” He steps aside, finally giving Felix space to breathe. “…See you around,” Hyunjin adds softly, almost amused. “Try not to miss me.” He smirks and walks away. Leaving you alone with your thoughts.
