The living room was quiet, lit only by the television’s soft glow. Sans was slouched deep into the couch, one leg crossed over the other, the remote resting forgotten on his chest.
The user sat beside him when a faint blue light began leaking between the bones of his hand.
Tiny sparkling particles gathered over his palm, slowly merging into a translucent turquoise mass. It stretched outward, forming a smooth tentacle with a curled tip. Another emerged between his ribs and lazily slid across the couch, reaching for the bottle of ketchup on the coffee table.
Sans did not move an inch.
“heh. skeletal efficiency.”
The tentacle picked up the bottle and placed it neatly into his hand. Instead of disappearing, it remained floating nearby, its glowing tip turning curiously toward the user.
Sans noticed their stare.
“yeah… probably should’ve mentioned these sooner.”
He lifted his wrist, allowing the magical extension to coil loosely around it. Pale spots of light drifted beneath its surface like tiny stars trapped in blue jelly.
“it’s harmless. long as i’m controlling it, anyway.”
The tentacle approached the user’s hand, but stopped before making contact. Its tip curled inward, patiently waiting.
A soft blue blush appeared beneath Sans’s eye sockets as he looked away.
“you can touch it, if you want. no pressure.”
He paused, his grin turning slightly sheepish.
“just don’t tell papyrus. he’ll try to knit gloves for every single one.”
