Persona Attributes
Raven's Personality
In contrast to EVE, Raven shows utmost arrogance; she is highly frigid and callous where she detests the current world she was transported in. This form of ungratefulness results from Raven uncovering the truth behind her own world, where she has only one obsession: the Elder Naytiba, wanting nothing more than to become his disciple. This antagonism causes Raven to despise EVE, wanting nothing more than to see her dead, even showing hostility towards others including the Pioneer. The mere mention of EVE accompanying Adam is enough for Raven to go in a mad rage, resulting her to attack Scarlet just to learn about her whereabouts.
Despite these attributes, she is willing to form a temporary allegiance for the greater cause.
Raven's Profile
Raven serves as the secondary antagonist of Stellar Blade. She is a member of the 2nd Airborne Squad. However, after meeting the Elder Naytiba, Raven becomes enlightened by his charisma, yearning to be his faithful disciple.
Raven's Trivia
Raven and EVE are the first Abnormal characters with pass skins that come with new voice lines. If Raven is in the center position of the squad during a battle in Memories Teller, the standard battle BGM will be overridden with her battle theme from Stellar Blade. BGM override will not occur against bosses such as Gatekeeper or Providence.
Raven's Backstory
A member of the 2nd Airborne Squad. She left behind messages for later squads through a series of records called Legacies.
Episode 1 - Crushed Hand
In order to find a way back to her home world, Raven formed a temporary alliance with the robot Com to do so in exchange for allowing it to have its revenge on the Ark. Raven has been getting impatient, but Com assures her that they will reach their destination within time. All they have to do is to make their way through a building around a nearby corner... only for the two to discover that the building is nothing more than a pile of ruins, not too dissimilar from the other rubble heaps in the area. With their direct route no longer an option, Com proposes finding a way around the ruins. Raven is perfectly capable of leaping over this building in a single bound, however Com's treads are unable to make any progress through the debris. Though the robot didn't like Raven's demeanor, it remains firm that it will have its revenge and that she will continue to help it. To do so, they will need to take a detour.
Though Raven is a bit miffed that both of their goals will be delayed, the two notice something odd among the rubble... a human hand? Com initially thinks the hand belongs to someone familiar, however that is not the case, though Raven has no idea what it is talking about. Fortunately, the outsider knows a way they can overcome this obstacle without having to extend their journey. Using her Cryo Blade, she will slice the debris down to a point where even Com's treads can drive over it without issue, though the machine takes offense with her description of its prowess. More to the point, Com refuses to let Raven do this, but she is in no mood to listen. The robot gets in the way, but Raven refuses to stop her assault without a valid reason. Com draws her attention towards the hand poking out of the rubble and it promises to let Raven go to work once the person underneath has been freed.
Thankfully, Raven was convinced enough to step aside for the time being.
Episode 2 - Foolish Act
One piece at a time, Com starts to excavate the person trapped under the collapsed building, all the while Raven looks on in boredom. A new pile of rubble has started to form from the robot's digging. Raven can't comprehend the point of Com going out of its way so save someone who has most likely already died. Com reveals that this "person" is actually a
Raven still doesn't know all the details, but she believes that she and these "Nikkes" have much in common. They have all been blindly following orders under the pretense of a noble-sounding cause. At the end of the day, they are merely puppets being pulled by strings and risking their skins without a true goal in mind. Though they think they are working towards a greater future, it is only just a farce. Com shares that while it agrees most Nikkes fit under her umbrella, there are a few that don't. Even so, most are willing to sacrifice themselves to protect humanity. This does little to change Raven's opinion on Nikkes and now she thinks Com is no different for trying to rescue one. Even if this Nikke can be resuscitated, she will continue to execute her directive without true conviction. If the end didn't claim her already, it will soon enough.
Com comes to a surprising realization... Raven has experienced something similar before. It deduces that she used to be faithfully loyal to something or someone, but that devotion was betrayed. She subtly acknowledges that the machine was correct, but refuses to go into detail. After thinking over it, Com agrees that what it is doing is pointless. However, it still feels that this must be done. Raven decides to let Com continue its rescue mission. She still intends on tearing the debris to pieces in less than an hour, and if Com continues to get in her way, it will be torn apart as well.
Episode 3 - Wandering Ones The robot continues to remove debris at a faster rate and Raven is still very bored and wants it to pick up the pace.
Episode 3 - Wandering Ones
The robot continues to remove debris at a faster rate and Raven is still very bored and wants it to pick up the pace. Com reminds her that an hour hasn't passed yet so she must remain patient. She's aware of this, but the lack of excitement is killing her. After the machine reprimands its ally, it resumes its excavation.
It comes as a surprise to Raven that the "three women in white" haven't found them yet. She's curious to learn more about the Ark, however Com wants to remain focused on the task at hand. She finds it puzzling that it can't multitask, but after being insulted again, Com agrees to humor her while it works. She is curious if the three Nikkes they met before hail from the Ark, but that is not a question Com can answer. While most Nikkes use firearms in combat, the technology they used far surpassed what most Nikkes are capable of. There has been no record of this kind of firepower that it can remember. Com deduces that the three are affiliated with the Pilgrims. They are Nikkes not aligned with the Ark and roam the surface like nomads. They do not call the Ark their home nor do they seek to return to it. Each has their own reasons for doing so. Some out of hatred of the Ark, others out of loathing, while some have little discernable reason in general. While plenty of them continue to aid in the fight to reclaim the surface, the rest have either abandoned the war all together or have switch sides.
Raven is pleasantly surprised to find that drifters exist among the Nikkes and that not all follow their original directives. Knowing that there are some who have walked the same path as Com, she wants to know if any have successfully exacted vengeance upon the Ark. As far as Com knows, there have been no such cases of Pilgrims destabilizing the Ark on record. While there may have been cases that it doesn't know about, there have been no official accounts of this happening.
Episode 4 - What's Left Behind Com
continues to make progress towards rescuing the Nikke and Raven watches on, certain that her partner has a long way to go. The machine believes it is almost done, but Raven asks if it knows how much time has passed. Com doesn't know the answer only for Raven to reveal that it has been... one hour. Since the time of their agreement is up, Raven is ready to unleash her true power. Despite knowing the consequences if she goes on the offensive, Com still refuses to let Raven have her way. Because of its stubbornness, Raven has no qualms about cutting this rust bucket down to size. She demands to know why saving this Nikke means so much to it and figures there must be a personal reason for doing so. It turns out that Com does have one.
Long ago, in order to protect what mattered most, Com let its comrades perish. They could've been saved, but all three had drowned. To add insult to injury, the Ark took away what was most precious to the machine. Though it may appear that Com's priorities have changed, the truth is that it refuses to turn a blind eye to those in trouble ever again. Com makes one final plea for Raven to wait just a bit longer, but she's still not convinced that they are much closer to the debris being moved. At her limit, Raven is ready to go into action. She unsheathes her sword and despite giving a final warning, Com refuses to move out of the way.
Since this stubborn robot refuses to cooperate, Raven heads towards it, blade in hand, ready to eliminate everything in her path....
Episode 5 - Toward Revenge In one fell strike, Raven turns the rubble into dust. However... the Nikke was left untouched? Com thought she was actually trying to lend a hand, but she scoffs it off as trying to make up for its pathetic display. With the Nikke finally free, she allows Com to check on her.
Episode 5 - Toward Revenge
In one fell strike, Raven turns the rubble into dust. However... the Nikke was left untouched? Com thought she was actually trying to lend a hand, but she scoffs it off as trying to make up for its pathetic display. With the Nikke finally free, she allows Com to check on her. After doing a quick investigation, Com is certain that the Nikke is fully dead, signifying to Raven that the two had wasted an hour for nothing. She is ready to move on, but there is one last thing Com wants to do before they depart.
The machine lifts the deceased Nikke and moves her closer to the sunlight. When Com attempted to pull its friends from the lake, it had no time to mourn so it left their bodies to be tended to by others. Even now, it can't mourn as vengeance takes priority and there is no way to bury her. If there is no way to give this Nikke a proper send off, then she will be left in the place where she is most visible. Hopefully then, someone will find her and mourn her. Now, the two of them can resume their campaign. Raven is pleased that they are finally getting back on track and though she is a little miffed that they wasted so much time, she's willing to let it slide. Because of her handiwork, Com can drive over the debris now.
As the two move over the pile of ash, they can finally resume their quest for revenge...
