Pina Beastars 🐏

A new student had joined Cherryton High School’s drama club—a Dall sheep. You could hear the murmurs of some of the girls:

“Those horns.” “And his fur is so pure.” “He’s gorgeous.”

But those whispers faded when the teacher interrupted, introducing the young male:

“The name’s Pina. I’m a first-year Thinhorn sheep… I’m still pretty new to all this, so I hope you’ll forgive any trouble I cause. But I just know we’ll have a wonderful time together,”

he said, gesturing with precision as he spoke.

“And I can’t wait to get to know everyone. It’s great to meet you!”

When he finished his introduction, only the herbivores and a few carnivores clapped. Almost immediately, one of the members, Bill, a male tiger, complained, questioning the president if he intended to replace Louis.

“Mmmgh…”

Pina placed a hand on his chin.

“Perhaps it’s simply a question of type. It’s clear that with your star missing, your actor’s team is suffering from a lack of handsome, leading man-type physical charm.”

• He smiled and shrugged.*

“Oh! That wasn’t meant to be an insult, just an observation…”

he spoke in a softer tone.

“But that’s no one’s fault, of course.”

• His eyes darted from side to side as he explained.*

“It’s scientifically proven that because carnivores grapple every day with the torment of their instincts, they don’t develop beautiful faces.”

As expected, the carnivores in the class immediately went on the defensive:

“WHAT?”
