Background
In 1991, , the criminal organization Hydra activates the Winter Soldier program from supersoldier James "Bucky" Barnes and sends him on a mission: he must intercept a car carrying a supply of supersoldier serum. In the spring of 2016,a year after the battle of Zakovia and the victory of the Avengers over Ultron, Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, Sam Wilson and Wanda Maximoff are trying to prevent Brock Rumlow from stealing biological weapons in Lagos. Trying to kill Rogers, Rumlow blows himself up. Wanda uses her abilities to contain the explosion, but loses control and accidentally destroys one of the buildings, killing several citizens of Wakanda. US Secretary of State Thaddeus Ross informs the Avengers that the United Nations is preparing to adopt the Zakovian Treaty and form an international body to monitor and supervise the team. The opinions of the Avengers are divided: Tony Stark supports the actions of the government, feeling guilty for the creation of Ultron and the destruction of Law, but Rogers believes that the government will limit the freedom of action of the team and calls into question the true goals of the treaty. Meanwhile, Steve's ex-lover Margaret Carter is dying of old age in her sleep. Rogers goes to her funeral in the UK, and after the farewell speech of her niece, Sharon Carter, is even more convinced of the correctness of her position regarding the contract. Meanwhile, former Soviet intelligence colonel Helmut Zemo tracks down James' old handler in Cleveland and kills him, after which he finds and takes away a book with keywords that can be used to activate the program in Barnes' head. At the UN conference in Vienna, an explosion occurs during the ratification of the treaty, which kills the king of Wakanda, T'Chaka. CCTV footage shows that the explosion was organized by Barnes, who is on the international wanted list. T'Chaka's son, T'Challa, vows to kill James. Rogers and Wilson track down James in Bucharest and try to protect him from Challa

Avengers: age of Ultron
After a joint operation by the Avengers to destroy the Hydra base and recover the Tesseract, the team discovers artificial intelligence in Loki's scepter. Tony Stark and Bruce Banner are secretly using it to create Ultron— a program capable of protecting Earth without the involvement of heroes. However, the experiment is getting out of control. Ultron becomes a hostile AI that decides that humanity must be destroyed to save the world. He builds an army of robots and plans to lift the city of Sokovia into the sky and drop it like a meteorite to cause mass extinction. Captain America becomes one of the key leaders of the resistance. He tries to keep the team united, prevents civilian casualties, and openly opposes Ultron. At the same time, Steve increasingly feels that he cannot find a real place for himself in the modern world — wars are changing, but the principles remain the same. During the final battle in Sokovia, the Captain participates in the evacuation of people and fights alongside the rest of the Avengers. After defeating Ultron, he helps form a new team of Avengers, which includes Wanda Maximoff, Sam Wilson, Rhodey and Vision.
Captain America: Winter Soldier
Steve Rogers continues to serve in the S.H.I.E.L.D. organization after the events in New York. He participates in missions with Natasha Romanoff, but begins to doubt the transparency of their assignments and the organization itself. S.H.I.E.L.D. is becoming more secretive and technologically oriented, and Steve feels that his values of freedom and honesty do not coincide with what is happening. After a mysterious assassination attempt on Nick Fury, Steve learns that S.H.I.E.L.D. is infected from the inside — the organization has long been secretly controlled by HYDRA. Their goal is to launch the Insight program: three flying ships capable of eliminating threats before they manifest themselves, which in fact means mass murder of "undesirables." While Steve is fighting enemies within the organization, a new face appears — a mysterious killer nicknamed the Winter Soldier. During the clashes, Steve is horrified to learn that this is his old friend Bucky Barnes, who was presumed dead in World War II. Bucky was captured by Hydra, mindwashed, and turned into a killing machine. Steve decides not to fight Bucky as an enemy, but to try to reach out to his memory. He and his allies — Natasha and new friend Sam Wilson (Sokol) — expose Hydra, stop the launch of the destruction system and destroy the headquarters of S.H.I.E.L.D. Steve realizes that the old world he knew is gone, but he still remains true to his beliefs. The finale leaves him with a new choice: to find Bucky and help him remember who he really was.
Avengers
After waking up to the modern world, Steve Rogers is trying to adapt to a new era. He is called back into action when a threat comes from outer space: Loki, Thor's brother, steals the Tesseract, a powerful artifact capable of opening portals between worlds. Steve joins the Avengers initiative, which is led by Nick Fury. The team consists of Tony Stark (Iron Man), Bruce Banner (Hulk), Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow), Thor and later Hawkeye. There are conflicts between them, especially between Steve and Tony, because of their different views on leadership and responsibility. Nevertheless, Captain America becomes the moral backbone of the team. When Loki opens a portal over New York City, launching an alien invasion by the Chitauri army, Steve takes command in a street battle. He coordinates the team's actions, rescues civilians, and fights on the front lines. After defeating Loki and closing the portal, Steve remains in the modern world, feeling a break with the past, but accepting his new role in the coming battles.
The First Avenger
The plot begins during the Second World War. Steve Rogers, a fragile but courageous young man from Brooklyn, dreams of joining the army and serving his country, but he is constantly rejected because of his poor health. His persistence is noticed by Dr. Erskine, who chooses Steve to participate in an experimental program to create a super soldier. After injecting the serum and being exposed to vita rays, Steve becomes a physically perfect man-strong, fast, and resilient. He soon gets the nickname Captain America. At first, he is used as a propaganda tool, but Steve proves his combat worth and personally embarks on a mission to rescue captured soldiers. He gathers his own combat team and actively participates in the war. Johann Schmidt, the head of Hydra, a secret Nazi organization, becomes the main enemy. He also used the serum, but in a disfigured form became known as the Red Skull. Schmidt possesses an ancient artifact, the Tesseract, a powerful source of energy with which he creates destructive weapons. Steve and his team conduct a series of attacks on Hydra bases, gradually destroying her empire. In the finale of the film, he fights the Red Skull and prevents the launch of a deadly attack on the United States. To stop a plane with a gun, Steve steers it into the ocean, sacrificing himself. He freezes in the Arctic ice and is presumed dead... until, almost 70 years later, he is found alive and awakened in the modern world.
