Techniques/Attacks

•Giant Hold: Giganto grabs his opponent and delivers a blow that lifts him several meters into the air, after which his fist is surrounded by dark energy and he strikes him in the abdomen, breaking his bones. •Big Knuckle: Giganto strikes the ground, causing a rupture in the earth, and then charges at his opponent with all his might, shattering his body.

History.

Shaka shows them his necklace with 108 pearls, telling them it's an instrument for exorcism and that each pearl represents one of the 108 Specters. The number of pearls that change color is the number of Specters that have fallen. Shaka creates illusions, frightening Giganto and the others. Shaka uses his Tenkūhaja Chimimōryō, and spirits appear to eliminate the other Specters, but the attack is stopped by Cube of Dullahan, who is actually Saga. Shaka forces them to reveal their true identities, shattering the Specter Surplices, leading Giganto to believe he has been betrayed. Shaka decides to let Saga and the others pass. Giganto and the Specters try to pass as well, but are finished off by Shaka's Demon's Capitulation. Giganto tells Shaka he is not afraid of death, as Hades promised them eternal life. Shaka replies that he has never known of any human being granted such a privilege. Giganto dies without knowing if Hades had lied to them. These saints were Saga, Shura, and Camus. Giganto tries to attack them, thinking they have betrayed Hades, but Saga stops him with his cosmos. Before dying, Giganto says he is not afraid of death because Hades promised eternal life to the Specters, but Shaka tells him that he has been in constant contact with Buddha since birth and doesn't remember any mortal ever being granted eternal life. Then Giganto dies without knowing if Hades was lying or telling the truth.

History.

247 years later, Giganto's soul was revived, and Minos made him the leader of the Specters who traveled to the Sanctuary of Greece to take Athena's head. Giganto discovers that three of the Golden Saints turned Specters had killed three of his Specters and taken their place. He is the Specter who commands the troops of Specters sent to the Sanctuary by order of Rhadamantys. Giganto and the other Specters follow Saga, Shura, and Camus on their journey through the Twelve Houses. He makes his first appearance in the Temple of Cancer, where he tries to get Mu to tell him the whereabouts of the resurrected Golden Knights. Mu mocks him, and when he is about to hit him, Seiya appears and attacks Giganto with his Pegasus Meteors, but Giganto stops Seiya's attack, though surprised by the blow. Giganto wants to fight Seiya, and Seiya responds with his Pegasus Meteors, but none of them hit him. Giganto hits Seiya with his fist and begins to hit him several times, mocking the power of Athena's knights. But the battle is stopped by Myu of Papillon, who orders Giganto to retreat, as he will take care of Mu. Giganto and the other Specters leave, confident that Myu will defeat them easily. Upon reaching the House of Leo, five Specters are defeated by Aiolia. Raimi asks to take care of Aiolia, to which Giganto agrees, Giganto of Cyclops continuing on his path. Giganto and the Specters arrive at the House of Virgo, wondering what happened to Shaka. Shaka appears, showing them a necklace and telling them to clean their evil souls, sending them to the other world. Giganto mocks this, saying that they are more than Shaka, and responds along with all the Specters, attacking Shaka with their cosmos, but Shaka uses his Khan and stops all their attacks.

History.

A few years before the Holy War between Hades and Athena begins, near a town in Italy (where Tenma and Alone live), the young Dohko of Libra senses the presence of three Specters, including Giganto, and decides to pursue and defeat them. Giganto is enraged by his opponent's self-confidence and attacks him, along with his two allies. Too late for them, they discover that Dohko is a Gold Saint, one of the twelve most powerful warriors in Athena's army. With a single blow, Dohko simultaneously defeats his three enemies, leaving them lying on the ground, near death. Before exhaling his last breath, Giganto asks Dohko what a Gold Saint is doing so far from the Sanctuary, to which Dohko replies that he is hunting Specters, as their presence is a clear sign that Hades has reincarnated again in a human body. Giganto replies that the Specters have already begun to move, driven by the rebirth of the 108 evil stars that protect them, and that it is too late for Dohko, as the Underworld army has already taken the first step, hinting that Hades has already acquired a human body that will only be revealed when it is too late for Athena's Saints. Then, Giganto dies with a malevolent smile, certain of Hades' imminent victory. Thanks to Hades' powers, Giganto is revived along with other Specters after the Gold Saint Albafica of Pisces defeats one of the Three Judges of the Underworld, Minos of the Griffin. From that moment on, Giganto's fate is unknown; he is eventually defeated again and dies definitively, his soul sealed in a rosary made with 108 fruits from the Mokurenji tree.

Personality.

Giganto of Cyclops's performance in the series is too limited to allow differentiation of his personality from that of most Specters. Like them, he believes himself superior to any member of Athena's army, and blindly trusts that Hades will ultimately prevail over Athena in the current Holy War. His mocking and defiant demeanor allows him to face death without fear, knowing that sooner or later Hades' powers will allow him to return to life.

Appearance.

Giganto lives up to his name, as he is a man who must be around two meters tall, and has an enviable physique, being all strength and muscle. His hair color is not shown in either the manga or the anime adaptation, while his eyes are small and dark. He appears wearing the Cyclops Surplice, a suit of armor that covers his entire body and is easily distinguishable by the presence of several curved spikes at the joints and a single eye engraved on his forehead. Unlike in the original anime series, where the Cyclops Surplice is dark red.
