Edward de Sylph

• Terrible Tornado: Using the wings of his armor, he unleashes a great gust of air and dust that turns into a tornado that sweeps away enemies with great pressure, killing them.

Cheshire gleefully confirms that the rumors are true: Tenma is back to life, and he's wearing an improved version of his Cloth thanks to Asmita's blood. Edward and the other four Specters rise again after dying a second time, as it initially seemed, and Tenma's friends Yato of Unicorn and the Jamir warrior Yuzuriha come to his aid. However, time is running out for the Specters, as it has all been a ruse in which Tenma has tried to distract his enemies while Asmita raises her cosmos beyond the Seventh Sense to create a rosary of 108 beads with the fruits of the Mokurenji tree, thus sealing the Specters' souls within them, preventing further resurrections. Cheshire understands that something is wrong and orders Edward to hurry and go directly to the tower. However, it is too late for Hades' Specters: Asmita has achieved her goal, and before dying, she eliminates Edward and the four Specters accompanying him with her Tenkūhaja Chimimōryō and Tenbu Hōrin attacks. Thanks to the sacrifice of the Saint of Virgo, Hades' army has suffered a major defeat, as Cheshire understands when he approaches Edward and sees that he will not revive again.

Edward appears with four other Specters in Jamir, Tibet, following Pandora's orders to capture the Saints of Athena who have infiltrated the Underworld and stolen the fruits of the Mokurenji tree. Apparently, Edward is the leader of the group, urging them to hurry and kill the Saints and the rest of Jamir's inhabitants. While rushing towards Jamir, Edward is surprised to see that the narrow bridge they have begun to cross is much longer and more intricate than he initially thought, and he stops, disconcerted. To his surprise, Asmita of Virgo, one of the most powerful Saints of Athena, appears in the middle of the bridge and effortlessly eliminates the five Specters with his Tenma Kōfuku technique. Having been attacked by a Gold Saint, falling several meters deep, and being impaled on the sharp rocks at the bottom of the precipice would mean certain death for Edward and the other Specters, but they have the protection of Hades, who allows the continuous resurrection of his army as the ruler of the Underworld. Another Specter, Cheshire of Cait Sith, arrives following Pandora's orders and mocks Edward and the others, reminding them of their mission, easy to accomplish for Specters of Hades who will never die. Now led by Cheshire, the Specters attack the tower of Jamir, which resists their onslaught thanks to the barrier around it, causing Edward and the others to prepare to enter and massacre everyone present. It is at that moment that meteors begin to shoot out of the tower in all directions, impacting the Specters.

Edward's personality doesn't differ much from that shown by the vast majority of Hades' Specters throughout the series. Like them, the Sylph Specter has great self-confidence, to the point of becoming overconfident and underestimating his enemy's abilities. He obeys Hades' and Pandora's orders without hesitation, not fearing death as he is certain that he will be immediately revived by the god of the Underworld.

Edward is a slender, youthful-looking man with black hair that reaches his shoulders, with some strands falling over his forehead and covering his ears. In the manga, Edward's eyes are light-colored, but in the anime they are black. He wears the Sylph Surplice, which is a steel-black color, similar to that of most Specters. The most distinctive features of this Surplice are its wings, something uncommon in Specters protected by a malevolent Earth Star. The thigh protectors resemble wide skirts, and the helmet has an appearance reminiscent of Mongol horsemen, also including chin protection.
