Persona Attributes

Appearance.

Camus is a tall man with a slender build, and his hair is a verdian color. His eyes are violet or blue. However, in the manga he has warm red hair, as well as nails painted the same color as his hair.

Personality.

Camus is the coldest of the twelve Golden Saints, but his coldness isn't based on suppressing his feelings, but on controlling them. We've never seen Camus do more than a gesture of effort; during battle he doesn't get excited, he doesn't shout, he doesn't strain himself, he always remains calm, cold, and calculating. He fights for what he believes is right and is willing to do anything to defend his ideals, as we saw in the Hades Saga, where he was willing to kill his comrades if necessary to fulfill his mission, and in the series when he let Seiya and Shun pass, because he knew they were right, and if he didn't let Hyoga pass, it's because he wasn't prepared; at the cost of his life he guided him until he found absolute zero and inherited his most powerful attack: The Aurora Execution.

History.

At the age of 7, Camus had already become a Golden Saint, wearing his armor at such a young age like other "young" Golden Saints. Although the exact circumstances are unknown, it is later learned that Camus and Milo had an old friendship in the sanctuary. During Saga's impersonation of the Pope of the Sanctuary, Camus gradually harbored doubts about the Pope's behavior. Lacking proof of wrongdoing, he followed the Patriarch's orders (believing them to be Athena's orders), but remained in a position of expectation. Camus was the master of Hyōga and Isaac when they were trying to obtain the Cygnus Cloth in Siberia. At the start of the Galactic Tournament, Camus sent Hyōga a letter telling him where he could find the bronze Cygnus Cloth and ordered him (under orders from the Patriarch) to stop the Galactic Tournament and eliminate all the Bronze Saints for using their Cloths for personal gain. After joining the "rebel" Bronze Saints and defeating the Silver Saints, Camus caused a tidal wave in the Sea of Siberia while Hyōga was visiting his mother, sinking the ship even further and leaving the message that he would wait for him at the Sanctuary. Hyōga of Cygnus ended up in the House of Libra after receiving the attack from Saga of Gemini's Other Dimension. Camus went to the House of Libra to see if Hyōga, the student of his disciple, was capable of facing the Gold Saints. Hyōga recognized the Aquarius Gold Cloth worn by Camus, and both acknowledged having information about the other. Camus asked Hyōga to leave the Sanctuary and said he would even use force to remove him, but Hyōga said he couldn't leave. Then Camus attacked Hyōga, causing him to crash into one of the house's pillars.

History.

Hyoga asks him why he won't let him pass, but Camus doesn't answer and continues attacking him, kicking Hyoga when he's on the ground and then throwing him against a pillar again. Camus insists again that Hyoga retreat, but Hyoga keeps answering the same thing. Camus says he will never betray the Pope. Then Camus unleashes a lightning bolt, breaking part of the ceiling, which hits the ship where Hyoga's mother's body is off the coast of Siberia. The ship sinks to the bottom of the sea to Hyoga's despair, who doesn't understand why Camus did that. Camus replies to Hyoga that he has to learn to let go of the past. Hyoga attacks Camus with Diamond Dust, but Camus stops the attack with one hand. Camus tells Hyoga again to leave the Sanctuary, but Hyoga refuses again. Hyoga attacks Camus with the Aurora Ray, but the attack doesn't affect Camus, who returns it with more force than Hyoga launched it, slamming him against a pillar. Camus explains to Hyoga that the affection he has for his mother and the hatred he felt towards him at that moment prevented him from reaching the Seventh Sense. Hyoga understands that everything Camus is doing to him is a test to reach the 7th sense. Camus tells him that as long as he doesn't let go of those feelings he won't be able to do it. Hyoga refuses to forget the memories of his mother. Camus decides to kill him, since death was the only thing that awaited him if he continued fighting under those conditions against the Golden Knights.

History.

Camus reappears when Seiya of Pegasus, Shun of Andromeda, and Hyōga of Cygnus, who had been freed from the Ice Coffin by Shiryu of Dragon with the Libra sword, arrive at the Aquarius Temple. Hyoga tells Seiya and Shun to go ahead so he can fight Camus alone. Hyoga thanks Camus for teaching him the fighting techniques of the ice knights to become a knight, and that he would fight him using his own techniques. Hyoga attacks Camus with Diamond Dust, but Camus stops it with one hand. Camus attacks Hyoga, freezing his left leg. Camus asks Hyoga what absolute zero is, and attacks him again, freezing his right leg as well. Camus tells Hyoga that absolute zero is the supreme glacial blast capable of interrupting any form of life. Camus tells Hyoga that when ice knights face each other, victory falls to the one who unleashes a blast at a lower temperature. Camus tells Hyoga that he will never be able to produce a blast at a lower temperature than his. Camus attacks Hyoga with the Aurora Execution, but Hyoga gets up after receiving the blow. Hyoga tells Camus that he himself told him that the same attack doesn't work against the same knight. Hyoga, convinced of victory, attacks Camus with the Dawn Thunder, but it doesn't affect Camus, who again slams Hyoga against a pillar with an attack. Camus locks Hyoga back in the Ice Coffin, but this time Hyoga manages to break it from the inside, to Camus' surprise. Upon recovering, Hyoga decides to attack his master, unleashing a glacial wave, forcing Camus to counter his attack in the same way.

History.

Both attack each other, with a glacial wave suspended in the air between their hands. Camus then explains the freezing temperatures of the knights' armors: -150 °C for Bronze armors, -200 °C for Silver armors, and -273.15 °C, absolute zero, for Gold armors. The suspended blast approaches Hyoga, but he manages to stop it with his hands, although most of his armor is destroyed by the cold. Hyoga then unleashes all the energy contained in the blast against Camus, knocking him down and removing his helmet. Camus realizes that the attack froze a small part of his armor. The interior of the Aquarius Temple freezes due to the impressive attack. Camus then decides to end the fight by attacking his pupil with the Aurora Execution, but unexpectedly, Hyoga imitates the pose of the attack, surprising Camus since Hyoga had never used that attack before. At that moment, master and student attack each other with the Aurora Execution, causing a great shock of glacial air, causing both to become completely frozen. However, because Hyoga managed to achieve Absolute Zero at the last second and awaken his Seventh Sense, he finally manages to overcome his master. Hyoga collapses, practically dying, and Camus dies after the mutual attack, not before acknowledging that his student was able to surpass him and wishing him the best in his future. A few months later, Camus' spirit intervenes during the battle against Poseidon, sending the Aquarius Gold Cloth to Hyoga when he was fighting without protection against Poseidon in the Underwater Sanctuary, in front of the Central Pillar, in the battle they were currently waging against the god Poseidon.

History.

Camus was resurrected by Hades during the Holy War to kill Athena along with the other resurrected Golden Saints, and he went to the Sanctuary although his intentions were to obtain Athena's armor. Camus appears in the House of Aries along with Shura of Capricorn and Saga of Gemini, and the three of them attack Mu of Aries, whom they manage to overcome after the also resurrected former Patriarch, Shion of Aries and Mu's master, immobilizes him. He passed through the House of Taurus alongside Aldebaran's immobile body, as the specter Niobe of Deep tells Mū of Aries. In the House of Gemini, he wandered through the labyrinth created by Kanon of Gemini, from the Patriarch's Chamber until Saga managed to undo it. In the House of Cancer, he had to endure the multiple illusions created by Shaka of Virgo, and his subsequent attack against the House of Cancer and its occupants, from which he was able to escape. Upon leaving the temple, he killed the specter Mills of Elf and donned his surplice to cross the House of Leo without Aiolia of Leo being able to intercept him.

In the House of Virgo, he fought a great battle alongside Saga and Shura against Shaka of Virgo. Shaka trapped them with his Celestial Treasure, leaving them with only their sense of hearing, and the three invading knights were forced to use the technique forbidden by Athena since mythology, the Exclamation of Athena, killing Shaka. Later, he had to repeat this technique with Saga and Shura against Mu of Aries, Aiolia of Leo, and Milo of Scorpio, who had arrived at the House of Virgo to stop them; they also used the forbidden technique. The six Golden Saints escaped the blow of the two Exclamations of Athena thanks to the intervention of the Bronze Saints. Camus was brought before Athena, by her own order, by Milo of Scorpio. Before the Statue of Athena, he witnessed Athena's suicide.

History.

In Hades' Castle, he attacked the specter Zelos of Rana when the three of them asked Pandora to take them before Hades. But they disappeared after the twelve hours given by Hades to resurrect and kill Athena. He died again, fading away in Hyoga's arms, asking him to take care of Athena. He appears one last time when he is resurrected in front of the Wall of Lamentations with the rest of the dead Golden Saints. There he is greeted by Hyoga of Cygnus shortly before sacrificing himself along with the rest of the Golden Knights to bring down the Wall of Lamentations, projecting his cosmos onto Sagittarius' arrow and creating sunlight to destroy the wall.

Techniques/Attacks

•Diamond Dust: creates cold air around his fist, drastically slowing down the atomic movement of the air around his hand, thus creating a field of intense cold, instantly condensing the surrounding moisture into the form of pure ice which then breaks and manifests itself in the form of countless, sharp ice crystals that are thrown through a blizzard capable of reaching and producing devastating, freezing cold, which can reach Absolute Zero (-273.15°C). •Ice Spear: This is a basic technique of Camus of Aquarius, in which he lunges at his opponent with an ice spear to injure his enemy. •Freezing Coffin: This is a freezing ability in which the enemy is enclosed in a gigantic block of ice. Camus of Aquarius' ice coffin reaches a temperature of -273 °C, making it impossible to thaw or destroy it even if several Gold Saints attacked in unison. •Diamond Dust Ray: Creates a ray of extremely cold air, but the Diamond Dust Ray shoots out in all directions, similar to Leo's Lightning Plasma, hitting a target multiple times from various sides. •Grand Koltso: concentrates cold air with the cosmos in the form of rings that surround the opponent and block any movement; this technique is much stronger because it uses a temperature approaching absolute zero. •Kholodnyi Smerch: The user freezes the environment by expanding their cold air, approaches their opponent, and hits them upwards with an upward hook; the blow releases a large tornado of air towards the sky, with their opponent at its center. •Aurora Execution: He brings his hands together and raises them, increasing his cosmos, then lowers them to chest height and releases a blast of freezing cold air capable of freezing, destroying, or disabling the target's armor; as well as killing the wearer due to the freezing.
