Aquarius Crest

Krest is a man of slender build and short stature, with black hair and a pale complexion.

Krest is a man willing to use extreme solutions to achieve the "greater good." Due to his long life, he has ceased to be as idealistic as most Saints, as he eventually grew tired of the incessant wars, saying that each battle that begins brings a new battle against another enemy endlessly. Therefore, he comes to believe that men must rid themselves of the gods and gain immortality. His encounter with Garnet, also disappointed with the human race, promises a means to achieve this goal. Krest's point of view also opposes Dégel's idealism, going so far as to ask if it wouldn't be better to sacrifice a handful of people and thus save many more? This is the opposition between pragmatism and idealism. This pragmatism is also reflected in his fighting style; Krest shows perfect composure while his disciple is carried away by emotions. However, what arises between Krest and Garnet could lead them to become a couple. Both have quite long lives that led them to the solitude in which they found themselves, but the mentality born of long life may lead them to find hope. In the end, Krest admits to being a relic of the past, telling his student to return "back to his time (the present) with Serafina," because neither Garnet nor he belonged to the world anymore.

Krest donned the Aquarius Cloth at the age of thirteen, becoming the youngest Saint of his time, and fought in battles against Poseidon and his Marines, against the Black Saints, against Hades and his Specters, and against Ares. The battle against the Specters, Hades' army, in the 13th century took place on a hill with a small number of Saints, including Itia of Libra, the Capricorn Saint, and the Silver Saints of Cepheus, Cetus, Canis Major, Cerberus, and Canes Venatici, among others. After the battle against Hades, the only surviving Saints were Krest and Itia of Libra, who promised to await the new generation. From that moment, Krest moved to the northern lands, never ceasing to watch over the safety of the Sanctuary and the young people of the new generations of Earth's protectors. About two hundred years later, Krest intervened during the battle between Sage and Hakurei, saving them from death while telling them they should be less reckless. He then freed them from a kind of ice coffin, allowing the Silver Saint to reveal his strategy, as he knew Krest would notice something was wrong at the Sanctuary and decide to act. Hakurei then thanked him, to which the Aquarius Saint replied, "You're very talkative." Krest realized that the instability he had felt at the Sanctuary was due to a strategy of Hades' army, as they were brainwashing the Gold Saints. After this, Krest witnessed Sage's awakening and began to devise a strategy to defeat his enemy. However, he suddenly felt a powerful surge of cosmos emanating from the Patriarch's Chamber, and Krest worried about his friend.

After feeling his friend's cosmos disappear, Krest mentions that the latter was a person who wanted peace at any cost and then tells Sage and Hakurei to believe in each other as well as in their companions, after Hakurei's concern for the goddess, Sage, to whom he tells him that he is intelligent unlike his older brother who is impulsive, Sage understands what Krest wants to tell him and replies that he will protect him, however Krest also tells him that if necessary he can "take advantage" of it. Later Krest reappears this time escorting Athena before Francisca, Sage, Archon, the Silver Saints of Centaurus, Canes Venatici and Musca and a badly wounded Hakurei, there Athena and Krest informs them that Itia was behind the war after this the Saint of Aquarius asks to be the one to face Itia however before Athena accepts his request Hakurei awakens and prepares to confront the Pope and then Francisca, Sage, Archon, the Silver Saints of Centaurus, Canes Venatici and Musca prepare to go with him after this Krest watches as Athena sends the Saints to confront the Patriaca. Later Krest faces and defeats the Gold Saints of Gemini, Leo and Scorpius and after that he has a talk through telepathy with Itia in which the Saint of Aquarius tries to convince him that one day they will have to "leave" but the Saint of Libra expresses his decision to never "abandon" humans because they seem like little children left to their fate who only know how to fight and steal from each other.

Later, Krest feels the powerful cosmos that Itia possesses, the Saint of Aquarius is shown to be worried about Hakurei and Sage, but Athena tells him that now the only thing they can do is trust them. Later, they both feel Itia's defeat at the hands of the young Saints. Fifty-five years before the holy war against Hades, Krest met Garnet, who, like him, had seen and suffered the horrors of war. Twenty years later, Krest appears before Lugonis and Ilias, Krest mentions that he has protected the shrine for over five hundred years as it was a promise he had made to his friend, then Krest uses his Freezing Coffin to freeze Zaphiri's body, then as he leaves he tells Lugonis and Ilias to take him to the Shrine and tell Sage to correct his mistakes, however Lugonis stops him and asks him to explain to him what he means by saying "this will not happen again like the previous Holy War" to which Krest replies that "that was a nightmare, comrades who dreamed of a better future and because of that, they followed the path of evil" Krest then speaks with Hakurei, who quickly kneels before Krest and expresses his opinion on telling Lugonis and Ilias what happened in the previous Holy War, Krest agrees to this arguing that if that was his point of view, an elder senile like him will not object. Almost forty years after that, Krest went to the Sanctuary in Greece after more than a century, Krest met a young man who suffered from a heart condition, amazed by the young man's determination to live life to the fullest despite the heart condition, Krest taught him a technique to take advantage of this condition and encouraged him to become a Saint by also offering him the blood of Athena.

Krest also became the teacher of young Dégel, one day they both watched as several swans gathered to form their nests and then he tells his young student that even those ices that are not melted nor with the passing of centuries are ephemeral compared to the passing of the years and that inheriting something to future generations is like a fleeting dream since everything is destined to disappear and that is why humans strive to create a "link" with the future and that is why the Saints exist. Six years before the holy war, Krest traveled to France where he "disappeared" although in reality he joined Garnet, however in Krest's heart there were still doubts so Garnet proposed to send a letter asking for help and signed by Krest addressed to his student to obtain an "answer" from him.

Already a Gold Saint, Dégel went to France to save his teacher Krest who was apparently trapped in Garnet's mansion, a mysterious and beautiful woman who hypnotically controls everyone with her singing. There he meets a girl named Fluorite who was a servant in that mansion, then Dégel discovers that warriors known as the Jewels lived in the mansion. First he confronted Flint who has the power to control fire, Flint captures Fluorite who was spying from behind the door and threatens to burn it down, but Dégel uses the Great Koliso on him and defeats him. Fluorite reveals that he was not spying out of curiosity but because he was looking for his father, who like many other men of his people disappeared and it is suspected that they were being held in the mansion, as well. Thus, while Dégel searches for his master and Serafina who had accompanied him and was also kidnapped, he fights against Tourmasline who has control of electricity and gives powerful electric shocks to the Saint, at the same time Calcedonia arrives that causes illusions, the illusions are destroyed by the Diamond Dust Ray technique and the two Jewels Defeated. Shortly after, Fluorite finds her father, who is dead inside a jewel like many others, Dégel comforts her. Then Aquarius faces the last living Jewel who turns out to be Krest, his rejuvenated master and in service to Garnet, Dégel's techniques are stopped and returned by Krest who due to his experience is very powerful, Dégel attacks him with the Aurora Execution but Kok-i-noor uses the Ice Shield that transforms into an Ice Coffin to lock up Dégel.

The Golden Saint frees himself with his own power and when he wants to confront his master and Garnet again, they tell him that they were seeking eternal life by stealing it from others, like Fluorite's father, but they wanted to be sure if they did the right thing, that's why they had called Dégel, who they had offered that power and had rejected it, to be sure of what they were doing.

•Diamond Dust: creates cold air around his fist, drastically slowing down the atomic movement of the air around his hand, thus creating a field of intense cold, instantly condensing the surrounding moisture into pure ice which then shatters and manifests as countless, sharp ice crystals that are thrown out in a blizzard capable of reaching and producing devastating, freezing cold, which can reach Absolute Zero (-273.15°C). •Freezing Coffin: This is a freezing ability in which the enemy is enclosed in a gigantic block of ice. Camus of Aquarius' ice coffin reaches a temperature of -273 °C, making it impossible to thaw or destroy it even if several Gold Saints attacked in unison. •Diamond Dust Ray: Creates a ray of extremely cold air, but the Diamond Dust Ray shoots out in all directions, similar to Leo's Lightning Plasma, hitting a target multiple times from various sides. •Grand Koltso: concentrates cold air with the cosmos in the form of rings that surround the opponent and block any movement; this technique is much stronger because it uses a temperature approaching absolute zero. •Aurora Execution: He brings his hands together and raises them, increasing his cosmos, then lowers them to chest height and releases a blast of freezing cold air capable of freezing, destroying, or disabling the target's armor; as well as killing the wearer due to the freezing. •Aurora Annihilate: Krest raises his arms and joins his hands, then lowers them to chest height and unleashes a blizzard in the form of a lightning bolt, so powerful that it is a red aurora which devastates all life with the strongest cold imaginable, capable of freezing a large strip of land.
